I picked up a Bally Night Rider months ago. Ever so slowly I have gone through it. After wrestling with inconsistent drops for awhile it's playing pretty good.

One weird issue left. The top bonus hole was giving me trouble. It would score but not eject the ball. I would have to nudge it and it would then score a second time and kick the ball out. After cleaning/adjusting the top hole relay and cleaning the kick-out switch it now kicks the ball out consistently. Trouble is it still scores the hole twice about half the time before kicking the ball.

I looked at the schematic and admittedly am not great with them. I am sure I can fine tune this eventually but maybe one of you schematic guys can fast track it for me. The schematic is available on IPDB for free download.

Any help is appreciated.

Looking at this I think I need to investigate Score motor switches at 2B, 2C, 4D, 5A, 9A?

If the Top Hole Kicker solenoid doesn't activate reliably when the Top Hole relay does,
Inspect and diagnose this circuit with Alligator clip jumper wires

I would start with the Score Motor 7E switch:

Then check the other two if that one is ok.

I've never used alligator clips to diagnose before. Obviously because my schematic skills are weak. With that said seeing the red line highlighting the path is very helpful. Thank you!

Awesome, I will start there, and then 8A and 10A if needed. Thank you!

Hopefully I can get in there tonight and check it out.

I had to mess around with it for awhile but seemed to have resolved the issue.
