I have a Hot Shots that is doing the same kind of thing.
It craches mid game.
All freezes and music keeps playing.
Need to turn the game off and back on to reset the game.
I have on reset board attached.
There is a typo on the last sentence.
It should be:
I have no reset board attached.

Today I checked the voltage at the cpu board.
It was a new Weebly Power Supply board, but the 5V was actualy 4.8V at the cpu board.
I need to check the connectors for the voltage drop.
I'll let you know how it turns out when the connector is fixed.
