Nic- Enjoying following this thread and I am picking up quite a few tips.
Since we are talking about 60's Bally zipper flipper games, I am curious if any other Bally titles (besides Surfers that I am restoring) have a lighted credit insert in the apron. The insert on Surfers is yellow and located on the right side of the apron above the game pricing card holder. From my initial research on Ipdb, I don't see another game that has it. This insert became clear and moved to the left side sometime in the early 70's.
Astyy- yes, that is the credit insert. Should have searched better first since I totally missed Rocket III. Those middle bumper caps are pretty funky...something stuck on top to cover the lamp burn or did they bubble up ?
That Wiggler looks curiously like the one at the Chattanooga Pinball auction this past May. The blue and orange basketball cabinet paint job gives it away. It would have been mine if I had not been tipped off that the backglass had a crack in it and I decided to pass. Glad to see it is up and running.
Quoted from NicoVolta:left convinced that he needs to add a Bally Skyrocket to his collection.
I’m sorry, (insert name here). Didn’t mean to do that to you... [quoted image]
I see a pattern here...
