    There is really no need to wax modern playfields that have clearcoat. If you keep them clean, waxing is totally unnecessary.

    This has been debated multiple times.
    There are the those who love wax and those who think it is a waste of time and effort on modern playfields.
    Apparently one side trying to convince the other to change their mind is also a waste of time and effort.
    Regardless, the important thing is to keep your game clean, whether you wax or not.

    Yes. The balls themselves that come with the game or that you buy from a supplier have an oil coating on them that needs to be cleaned off with Windex and a paper towel. The oil is to protect them during storage and transport.
