    Will NIB Pinball Lead times be longer or shorter 1 year from today on 3/8/23 than on 3/8/22?

    As we all know most manufacturers have a backlog of machines they are struggling to catch up on due to increased demand and supply chain shortages. Some people that ordered NIB pins early last year are still waiting on them. Stern has gone so far as to announce they will be releasing one less pinball machine this year. American and Jersey Jack seem to have NIB pins available now and are caught up. Do you believe that the wait time for a NIB pin will be longer or shorter in a year?

    If lead times remain unreasonably long for another year, casual hobbyists will find somewhere else to dump their money, in which case the supply/demand issue will solve itself. Pinball is a cyclical industry. Seems like the current boom times will never end, but it also seemed that way when WMS made 20k TAFs.

    I think manufacturing will catch up before impatient buyers leave the hobby.

    If the recession hits, like it looks like it is going to, that will make people with disposable income dry up, and there will be less demand.
