Quoted from McCune:Factory decals are JUNK and I am sure they are very brittle 15 years later.
Yeah, remember NIB ≠ brand new. It's gonna have age issues just from sitting there.

I hope whoever gets it opens it, fixes all the issues age has brought on (all the rubbers must be shot etc) and then plays it and enjoys.
I have to admit, I love Monster Bash. Really just a great theme. But as a game ... it's okay. I mean, it's good, don't get me wrong, but not incredible. As far as theme and gameplay go it's really much like Scared Stiff to me (great theme, decent gameplay), and yet it routinely moves for twice as much. I have to say, I don't get it. MM I get. It's stupid to me still, but I understand the history and how it ended up there, it makes a certain amount of sense. How the hell did MB get to be so freaking expensive?
Quoted from TigerLaw:Well, there were something like 1,000 fewer MB made so it is a bit of a rarer bird to find around than MM. The scarcity helps it. Of course, if scarcity alone dictated value we'd be paying a heck of a lot more for 24 and CSI.
I'm just bitter because I'd buy one if they were going for 'normal' inflated prices, but once you're rocketing out of $6k territory I just can't do it.
Quoted from dito:Looks like the $15k bid got retracted. As a seller that's got to suck. $14,100 did not meet reserve.
That's happened before in this auction already.
Quoted from MK6PIN:thanks guys...trying not to whine, but just hoping to get talked off the fence (from fellow pinsiders that may have the same disease I have)...logic is telling me no...my damn fever to this "sport" is tapping me on the other shoulder........
Here I'll help you. Don't buy it, it's f&^$ing stupid. Anyone who buys this has more money than sense, end of story. If you're desperate to spend that much on a MB get a restored one, just because this is NIB doesn't mean it's not gonna have issues.
Quoted from pinlawyer:MB is a fun pin, but needs to be in a collection of ten or more to stay that way, IMO. I got tired of it on location--it's the only DMD pin (aside from Kingpin and other such oddities) I've never owned.
This from the man who had a HEP Dirty Harry (iirc)!
