Quoted from pinbum:My new AS playfield is all dimpled up after 50 plays can i send it back?
what the OP is concerned about here is not playfield dimpling.

Quoted from pinbum:I know but this seems way worse.
i think i may be confused by your post, are you saying playfield dimpling is way worse than scratches on a NIB pin?
Quoted from kid_ego:I really don't understand threads like this, not just on Pinside but all across the Interweb.
According to JJ, the problem was reported to him yesterday afternoon (and to Stern last night during off-hours).
Why not give Stern and JJ some time to handle the issue before inciting everyone on Pinside to grab their pitchforks?
This should be a private matter (at least initially) between the OP, Stern, and JJ.
the OP asked us for advice. this was his first NIB. wanted advice what he should do, because of what he was told when he called the distributor. the OP didn't come here and rip his distro at all. just wasn't sure if what he was told was the correct response is all. this is afterall a pinball discussion forum. it does seem like things are in motion, but IMO they should take all that long to be sorted out as others have stated so the OP can decide his next course of action if any.
