Just curious to see how many of you that have bought a brand new game throw the box away or save it? How about the inner packaging, same question? My wife is having a fit that I am thinking about keeping my Stern box; makes me wonder if I am being silly. Let's hear some thoughts...

At least see if anyone in your area could use it before tossing.

    I pitch it.

I save any packing material that used to hold things in place on the playfield during shipping. It's nice to have if you ever sell the game or need to transport the game somewhere. I also cut out one side of the box that lists the name of the game and the serial number. Everything else goes in the garbage.

If you have kids (or grandkids) make the box a Christmas Present it will get plenty of play...

I wouldn't pay extra money for a game with a box.

    Quoted from mmuglia:

I did this as well on my one and only NIB.

I have saved 1 box only for awhile. I just dug it out the other day and all the padding. It is being used to send my Avatar LE to it's new owner in Germany. I will save my box from my next stern and keep just incase.

I'm not a hoarder, so yes, I throw it out.

I cut it up into smaller cardboard pieces to use in pin transport (i.e head support on the rail when folded down, etc).

from my experiences in other hobbies... if you have room, save it... you never know when you might need it... i learned that the hard way when it cost me a bunch in shipping materials for something i sold...

I keep it for a bit in case I don't like the game and want to sell it. Then I let the kid play in it.

I save mine. If you got the space, keep it. It really gives peace of mind if you ever decide to sell. No ballache.
