I have narrowed it down to the left cart path switch (71).

When I activate it (in switch edge test) all of the switches in that row activate (show as activated).

This switch (71) is causing the slam tilt to occur during play.

When I test the other switches in that row, only the switch activated is shown.

The diode is good and so is the switch (wired a new switch in parallel and same thing happens when activated).

Any suggestions as to where to go next would be appreciated.

Check every diode in that row that the band is pointed the right way. I have switches wired incorrectly from the factory.

What other switches show closed in switch edge test when this happens?

Thanks, the game worked fine then suddenly started showing this symptom so no diodes are wired backward...but I did check.

I'm not positive, but as far as I can tell (this goes really fast on the DMD) and you can hear the dinging are the ones in row 1...SLAM TILT, TROUGH EJECT, LEFT GOFER DOWN, LEFT SLINGSHOT, LEFT SPINNER, LEFT CART PATH & K-I-C-K ADVANCE.

I mean before you press switch 71, what all switches are active?

So, I have done more switch testing and found when looking at the switch edges on the DMD that the golf cart switch was closed, continually.

When I took a look at the switches on the cart, I found the right switch had the diode smashed against one of the switch lugs. When I pulled it away, my issues went away too.

Thanks for the help.

Glad you got her working! Its fairly common to have switch issues with what appears to be an unrelated switch, this is why I try to guide people away from the the switch they are having issues so they can see the bigger picture.
