Just picked up this machine. It turns on and will start a game but won't kick up balls and flippers do not work. The Dmd is not working but have tested voltages and it needs a newer power control board to take of that issue. I have read on pinwiki and was thinking that it may be a locked on coil and the CPU locks out flippers and coils to keep from doing more damage. Not sure what to do next. THanks for the tips

Who you calling dummy?

#4 10 years ago

Anyone that doesn't check fuses first.
Being checked "visually" without a meter i call; "jackass."

Totally agree, be sure the connectors are all seated and then check out those fuses...they are the bane of my existence

I checked them all for continuity in the game.

Check the fuses and values dummy

Just give the fuses a quick ocular patdown.

Close the coin door.

Did you put the game into test and see if the coils work in test mode?

Out of the sockets, with a MM?

All fuses check out fine. I pulled them out of the game and checked them with a meter. I ordered the Dmd board. Could it be the coin door switch? Mike I am not that experienced to be able to blindly navigate the test mode. Maybe someday.
