Does anyone use NFC for payment? Most current smart phones support wireless near-field communication, and a small Arduino or RaspberryPi could be mounted inside the pin next to the coin door with a "Tap here" sticker on the front. It would require an app and a database backend, but its all achievable.

    Anyone using this approach?

Yea, Apple Pay would be awesome to use, but I suspect the hardware requirements will be too great (they're not likely to let Apple Pay run on open source Arduinos!)

A blockchain approach is ultimately the best approach - lightweight from the client side (browser plugin ideally), secure enough to use in the field, and capable of a lot of value-added features.

Anyone know any good Eos programmers?

Yea, Payrange would be awesome! Unfortunately they have no plans to expand outside of the States, so us second-class citizens don't get to play with that.
