I'm guessing whatever it is, some will buy it, and some will think it's a joke.

Quoted from vid1900:If we are changing over to Punk
I think we should. Its fits all the criteria. It's iconic and more than 30 years old.
We need a follow up to Hendrix or it will end up being another lamo 80s band.. Do you want an April Wine pinball machine?
I didn't think so.
This is what pinball is all about. Underground culture. You can keep that mainstream crap because the mainstream aint gonna buy it anyway. If they keep doing these gay titles, I quit!
Quoted from jimbo16:Seems like a no brainer.
It would have to get in line behind all the other no brain themes of late.
Quoted from drsfmd:With some of the bands you guys are suggesting, I'm not sure if you're really serious or making a joke.
I suggested Thin Lizzy, and it is no joke. As we move further into the 21st century it has becomes more and more obvious that only iconic rock bands from the mid to late 20th century will get a pinball machine. And during that time period their weren't very many rock bands more iconic or relevant than Thin Lizzy.
When Metallica pinball came out, half the people here were asking for a Thin Lizzy song to be on it.
Quoted from drsfmd:They just weren't that important in the big picture.
Except for Elvis and the Stones, the Ramones were way more important in the big picture than any of the other rock bands that have their own pinball machine so far. And most of the others people are asking for. Except maybe Thin Lizzy...
Quoted from drsfmd:I disagree that the Ramones are so influential.
Well, everybody is entitled to their opinion. The Ramones pretty much influenced every punk rock band that came after them. The Sex Pistols wouldn't have even existed if not for the Ramones.
Quoted from drsfmd:NY Dolls, the Stooges, Devo, etc...all preceded the Ramones and were at least equally influential.
This is true. However is was the Ramones three chord style that set the standard for the hardcore punk scene that followed.
I heard that after Malcom McLaren saw the Ramones in NY, he went to England and put the Sex Pistols together and the rest,
as they say is history.
Quoted from pezpunk:the Pistols self-destructed on their first U.S. tour.
This is one case where it's pretty amazing they were able to put the band back together with all the original members 20 years later.
Quoted from drsfmd:We played Deep Purple.
Well then certainly if any old rock stars deserve a pinball machine, it is Deep Purple.
Quoted from ChrisS:They are older and wiser now and they ALL like money.
But most of all still alive.
Quoted from drsfmd:I don't disagree, but that movie is culturally iconic.
"Culturally iconic" seems to be the excuse now to do any outdated band or movie. Gone With the Wind is culturally iconic. Benny Goodman is culturally iconic. Both are more iconic than any of today's ancient pinball themes.
I guess it all depends on what kind of culture you want festering in your game room.
Quoted from Roostking:The good news is, you dont have to buy it, to fester you know.
Good news indeed! All that money saved. As deep into pinball as I am now, I can't thank the makers of these new games enough for not making a single one that would make me want to pull out the old billfold.
Quoted from Roostking:You seem bitter.
Not at all. I was just thinking about Joe Perry, wondering how he's doing. Pretty amazing as it seems like a lifetime ago I saw them at the Cal Jam and almost 40 years later he's still up there doing what he's always done. Hope he's gonna be alright.
Quoted from vid1900:In a pin, you are going to need some uptempo songs or the game will drag.
Like maybe Taxman?
Quoted from Billy16:BOC would be a kick-ass pin.
It would have to have a real cowbell.
Quoted from TheLaw:I know whole BOC cowbell thing is funny; but it can't stand up to "Hair of the Dog" if you're talking real cowbell action
Mighty cowbell action in that song.
Nazareth- the band that all 80s raspy throated bands wished they could be.
Quoted from vid1900:The Decline of Western Civilization movie would be a great theme and soundtrack:
If they were to include Decline II The Metal Years it could have a Chris Holmes bash toy.
So last night my buddy and I were out in the garage playing pinball and I whipped out the old Police live CD and we listened to whole thing. Those guys were a ripping band with lots of fast songs that would be great in a pinball machine. A band as iconic as there was at the time.
Cruising youtube I found this clip from a show I attended in 1981. They called it Blondata Mondata as you had to have blond hair to get in that evening as they were making a movie out of it. During the encore the Police came out wearing black wigs. lol. No need to see the reunion show a few years ago after attending this epic concert.
Quoted from vid1900:I would like The Police; if Sting was not a member.
lol. I don' t think any of them are members any more. I just watched a clip from the reunion show. What a letdown. I hope those that paid the big bucks to go see it felt like they got their money's worth. The one I went to cost ten bucks.
Back to Decline I. Most of those shows were filmed local here and my friends asked me to go with them to see the Circle Jerks but I had a hot date so I passed.
One of my best friends is the dude moshing by the stage in the green shirt.
Quoted from TheLaw:I'll pay for anything with Fear in it...I'll even take Anything Lee Ving acted in.
Green shirt on stage at :20. How the hell did I not go?
Quoted from TheLaw:Haha nice...I bet if you heard the reason you didn't go now you'd laugh your ass off. "Debbie and I were in a fight and she wanted me to eat dinner with her parents that night" or something equally "important" at the time.
I don't even remember anymore. I usually made it to all the gigs. I'm not sure if anybody knew they were making a movie that night.
Green shirt's name is Brent, son of racing legend Jess Tyree. We went to high school together along with a bunch of other characters like Social D, Adolescents, DI, ... etc. It was a fun neighborhood.
Quoted from Rat_Tomago:Complete with Klaus Nomi mode!
Klaus rules! It will also need this one from the greatest band ever.
Quoted from Aussiepinwiz:That's why, eventually, we will have a QUEEN pinnie.
can we get a fairy feller's multiball?
