    Quoted from Hazoff:

Nothing, it came up because of the singer of a punk band who was a actor in it, if you grew up in the 80's then clue would have more meaning to you and I doubt it was a big hit in Rio.

Not the movie, just the board game..... I still own one of these....

So last night my buddy and I were out in the garage playing pinball and I whipped out the old Police live CD and we listened to whole thing. Those guys were a ripping band with lots of fast songs that would be great in a pinball machine. A band as iconic as there was at the time.
Cruising youtube I found this clip from a show I attended in 1981. They called it Blondata Mondata as you had to have blond hair to get in that evening as they were making a movie out of it. During the encore the Police came out wearing black wigs. lol. No need to see the reunion show a few years ago after attending this epic concert.

I love the Police. As a pinball it would be interesting I suppose. There should be a drum kit bash toy complete with the message on his drum kit during their "Urgh a Music War" footage from Frejus, France. It's hard to make out unless you have the DVD. It says "*uck off you ***T on the drum heads.

Still waiting on Jimi Hendrix pin with Zombie Yeti artwork.

Klaus rules! It will also need this one from the greatest band ever.

    #358 7 years ago

Surf Punks themselves would of been an awesome theme.

    #359 7 years ago

...seems these guys know something about F*ck tha Police!

The cool thing about Urgh is they gave time to the second billed.

    #361 7 years ago

    And The Cramps.

Wu-Tang Clan is a license/theme that would be just perfect.

I can just imagine C.R.E.A.M. multiball where you get the dolla dolla bills, ya'll

Stern will only work on legends of rock for their rocked themes games. Forget your favourite also-ran bands that take up so much posting space in this thread. These pinball machines have to sell, and sell well, and sell well inside and outside the USA.

Stern is a business. It needs to make money to survive. It does not exist to make a machine for your favourite garage band.

That's why, eventually, we will have a QUEEN pinnie. Apart from the Beatles, there is no super-mega-world-wide-legend-band that will sell more machines that a QUEEN themed machine.

Sorry my USA friends. It's true. ACDC, an Australian band has set the pace for pinball sales. Queen, a UK band, with massive USA exposure, will come close to that hit. No other rock band will. Not Metaliica. Not Areo Who? Not your favourite "never heard of them outside the USA" band.

Let's hope the artwork is at least of the REAL band and not this!

I subscribe to this belief also.....but where does the Slayer affiliation fit in here? A Stern logo appears on a poster at their gig and Kerry King pops up to their Comicon booth and then things go quiet.

Yea, where's the Slayer pin or digital table or whatever the fuck they have Sterns logo for?

    Megadeth would be better!

    #369 7 years ago
    Quoted from Lethal_Inc:

    Megadeth would be better!

That's why they need to just have a "Monsters of Rock" pin that covers all the smaller yet popular metal acts that wouldn't get their own table - it could be awesome, but licensing would be tough. Dio, Pantera, Slayer, Megadeth, etc. on tour and you get them through it.

They could also have a Hair Metal Legends pin with Poison, Cinderella, Motley Crue, Quiet Riot, etc.

can we get a fairy feller's multiball?

    Quoted from o-din:

can we get a fairy feller's multiball?

    Why not! I hope so.

There are many other multiball possibilities:
    "Flash Gordon" superhero mode
"Another One Bites the Dust" lower playing field
"We are the Champions" wizard mode
    "Sheer Heart Attack" multiball

plus a "Keep Yourself Alive" kickback lane

    Quoted from Hazoff:

No disrespect to Slayer or to you intended, but Stern will only work on legends of rock for their rocked themes games. These pinball machines have to sell in large volume inside and outside the USA for Stern to invest money into making one. Stern is a business that needs to make money to survive.

That's why, eventually, we will have a QUEEN pinnie. Apart from the Beatles, there is no super-mega-world-wide-legend-band that will sell more machines that a QUEEN themed machine. QUEEN are massive all over the world and especially in Europe and Asia (Japan in particular).

The bands with the most album sales of all time, according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_music_artists, are (in order):

    The Beatles
    Led Zeppelin
    Pink Floyd
    ACDC
    Queen
    The Rolling Stones

I'd love to see a pinball machine for each of the above. I would buy a pinball machine for each of the above, except maybe Pink Floyd. Only one on the list is from the USA. But that's the list Gary should be looking at (and has in the past with ACDC and The Rolling Stones).

    Wouldn't these be amazing:

    Sergeant Peppers LE
    Stairway to Heaven Premium
    and
    Bohemian Rhapsody Pro?

There already was one built by Stern in 2011 and by Bally back in 1979. How many more do we need?

True. No more needed. Re-read my previous post again.

We could use one that focuses on late 60's, early 70's vintage Stones. A Stones pin could & should be amazing.

I like the Beatles and Floyd and Zepplin, older Queen but it just seems to weak, with the exception of Zepplin I don't see any excitement with those bands and pinball. I hope you get what you want, Aerosmith is coming you should be happy, you guys have Kiss and AC/DC even a Rolling Stones, Motorhead is my top pick, well Slayer 1st but I know its too evil for the majority of pinheads, even Sabbath.

This major feature movie is being released soon:

Too bad Stern didn't heed the call for a Queen pin.
A release just before Christmas would have been sweet for business.
    "Another one bites the dust!"

Although a 2019 or 2020 Queen pin will still sell well globally ...
