    Quoted from Honch:

There's a lid for every pot and I think there's enough variety in new pins to appeal to everyone, so I don't understand people's animosity towards a theme they don't like.
We all get older if we're lucky and whatever you thought was cool in Your youth, is going to some day be considered lame as fuck by the younger generation.

Agreed, Why rant and rave about games that appeal to people in there late 40's and 50's when they are making just as many newer themed games. If you don't like it, don't buy it. No need to crap on someones else favorite theme.
PS. My 13 year old daughter and most of her friends just love everything about my Scared Stiff. That and Addams Family are the only two pins they play.

so why not consider the base of who's actually playing these games outside of rich Gen X basements?

We can take a look at the league I'm in. 32 people. The only league around that's not over 1.5 hour drive. 70% Gen X players 30% Millennials. Pin ownership is 90/10

Stern is about to do a quick run of GoT pros. I guess you could call it a vault edition.....

    Quoted from jwilson:

People saying “why not just buy a WMS game” have clearly been living inside the hobby bubble too long.
Regular people HAVE NO IDEA used pinball machines exists or that you can buy commercial arcade games for the home. One of the most common things I get when people visit and see the pins is “Wow, where did you get those?! You can own arcade games?!”
You can’t buy a Pinbot at Walmart. It takes actual effort to buy an old machine. First it needs to even occur to them to think they might want one.
This helps with that. This is the gateway game. And from the looks of it, it’s a huge improvement in home games.

Many people here just can’t get the point that the average consumer will buy a new over priced product before going through the hassle of finding a used one no matter how much they can save. It’s the same people that jump in the remake threads with the same statements.
