I love Star Wars. In fact I was just sourcing the 4K edits of the original films from the internet last night, but I was overly excited about a Stranger Things pin. What a massive let down a Star Wars home edition is.

I know it's not for us, but that doesn't make it any less annoying that they would hype up so much for a damn large toy.

    I'm 34 and I thought ST3 was the bee's knees.

28 checking in. I thought it was badass as well.

My wife doesn't even play pinball but she got excited about a Stranger Things pin. I basically just got a free pass for a NIB and then it slipped right through my fingers.

    (if you can read)

Clearly I can read because I'm on an online forum. That comment was unnecessary.

Don't you think they would also come down off the street price too if they're advertising lower prices? Seems reasonable to me.

    Quoted from cuebert:

It's all in the marketing. Pinball is still on the outside of the mainstream and Stern is trying to break down the barriers with home editions when possible. People still associate pinball with arcades/bars so if you can make a "home" offering you immediately make it look more appealing.

Not only that, but pricing a regular Stern pro not too much further out from the home model makes it look like a better value because you get the full arcade-style game for slightly more money. If you're in the "pinball store" and can get a whole game for 20% more, why not? That translates to more profits for Stern.

After watching some of the stream, it's fine for a home game. The only thing that really bothers me about the gameplay on these is both slings firing at the same time. One doesn't have enough time to rebound before it hits the other, so you end up really getting only one good hit.

Other than that, I'm sure some dumbass who spent money on this game will enjoy it.

I'd pull out my wallet so fast for a TRON '82 vault it would cause back pain.
