That's what I heard too. Sounds like they were going to try and push the LCD on this one but need more time to develop the LCD to the system. It will happen eventually, just not on GoT.

This appears at the very very end of the Stern making of video. AFTER the mediahouse credit.
Borg says something like "The next stern lineup is..."and then it cuts.
That being said I really think that this is the Kiss whitewood. The insert layout is nearly identical.

I thought the same thing, but it's a whitewood. That area could have easily changed. Plus the flashers on the slingshots are exactly the same, and the left return lane looks the same.
No LCD on GoT is a huge loss, I think. With all the visuals they could have used there, it would have had a chance to out-Hobbit TH. (Although I still think TH is a gorgeous machine.) Really unfortunate - but if it's a DMD, I hope Randy at Color DMD does something wonderful with it...and quickly!

Usually people don't start saying that a new layout is a ripoff of an old one until it's released. 
Of course LCD on GOT. Why else would Ritchie have been out of rotation for so long? Borg and Traduea have both made two games since Star Trek.

Do you have any info to support that? There are a lot of reliable people saying no LCD.

Yeah, I was hoping to add a third rock machine to the collection and thought KISS would be a no-brainer. Played it and it just wasn't giving me that "must own" vibe. I wanted some kind of huge wow factor. Will wait a bit longer and see how code develops. This is why I am hoping Game of Thrones has the lcd. Surely after all this development time?

And yet those guys did just that for Kiss. So it doesn't really mean anything in and of itself.
GOT would be a great game to transition to an LCD on. Many hrs of footage to choose from. It will be a huge missed opportunity if it does not have an LCD. The next rumored games of JW and GB do not have near the footage to use.
Stern has been making a lot of great games but it's time for them to move forward. The spike system is a nice start but doesn't really do much for the customer. I think KISS is selling OK but it's certainly does not seem to be the home run everyone thought it might be.
Cool video. I love the way the game shoots...totally agree with Borg. I know he's biased, but it's one of the best shooting Stern's in my lineup. Smooth, nice mix of tough/easy shots.
It's depressing to see some of the high-res footage that they are converting to dots. The LGMB flying ball animation would be so much cooler if the actual live concert video were playing. The low-res conversion is so abstract, that I'd be surprised if anyone could tell you what it represents outside the game.
Now that Stern appears more interested in selling mods (topper, armor, etc.), I hope they consider selling LCD's for the first set of SPIKE pins that weren't lucky enough to be developed in step with the upcoming/enabling LCD software. If KISS had color, high-res, live concert footage it would AWESOME. If they sell 3-5k KISS pins, could be a nice revenue boost for them...

MY bet is GOT, SMVE, JW by Trudeau. Trudeau at the Texas show in the spring said he was working on a title scheduled for release at the end of the year that he really likes the theme. So he has a game coming in about 3-4 months which I think will be JW.
