For $200, you got yourself a little gem. The playfield is stunning, electronics are pretty good and the cabinet should be relatively easy to fix and repaint.
For the backglass, you can contact BGresto and by the time you are done restoring the pinball, your new glass will be there waiting to be mounted.

I would keep the original displays, but that's just me. They are easy to be reworked (change all 100K ohms resistors) and will work fine.
The failure you see is a bad connectors on your displays.
