Just picked this Stern Lectronamo up the other day. Bought it for $200...The owner said it booted when he last played it about a year ago but hasn't played it since. Of course it wouldn't boot when I was there. That;s okay, that makes the negotiation process easier for me.

No sure how deep down the rabbit hole I want to go with this one...we shall see. In the mean time it's not in horrible shape.

Back glass is pretty bad but over all I have seen worse...

For $200, you got yourself a little gem. The playfield is stunning, electronics are pretty good and the cabinet should be relatively easy to fix and repaint.
For the backglass, you can contact BGresto and by the time you are done restoring the pinball, your new glass will be there waiting to be mounted.

Fantastic deal. Absolutely fantastic.

Lectronamo is a super nostalgic game for me. The first solid state game I bought when I started collecting back in 2004. A milestone for me, since I had only been able to afford beater EMs with the lawn mowing money I would make in the summer (I was in 8th grade at the time). It was the first time I had really cut my teeth on solid state repair, too.

I always liked this game, and it’s nice to see it get the attention it deserves! Following for sure.

She is ALIVE! Got a chance to work on it last night. You know when they say "It's just a fuse"? Well that was mostly true here. I found the 5V fuse was bad and saw the connector that was causing it. I replaced the fuse and recrimped a connector and she is back working again (almost). The only things I see so far is:
1. No Sound..I do have a SB-100 rebuild kit that will hopefully fix that.
2. A couple of the displays have missing bars in their numbers. I should be able to fix those too or I will just buy a LED conversion and get rid of that high voltage to the displays.
3. The knocker coil is fried. You can see it when you zoom in on the back box pics. I unplugged it and have another on order.

Over all I am happy so far.

Gi and all switches and coils work as designed.
A couple of bulbs burned out but I have plans to convert to LEDs anyways.
I have a full set of AllTek boards on order to replace the battery acid damaged MPU as well as the Solenoid Driver & LED/Lamp Driver boards.

I would like this to be bullet proof (as far as pinball machines can be) when I am done.

Wow nice PF.

I would look into converting to chimes....seriously.

I would keep the original displays, but that's just me. They are easy to be reworked (change all 100K ohms resistors) and will work fine.
The failure you see is a bad connectors on your displays.

I have thought about this as well...I have read where other owners have done this and it makes since...the only thing I find funny is that this is Stern's first pinball machine with electronic sounds, as horrible as they do sound, I have reservations in converting it to chimes..not 100% either way yet.

No need to convert. Read the manual, there are switches to flip to switch to chime sound if you're into that. I personally like the electro sounds.

That looks to be in great overall shape (with the exception of the BG... which mine also needs a better one).

Yeah, not too bad of shape. I have a new BG on order from BGRESTO.

Flip switch 23 to OFF if you prefer Chimes.

Awesome, thank you. I'm going to try both.

Oh ya?
I checked their site and saw nothing listed for Lectronamo and assumed they didn't have one.
Mind if I ask the cost?

Yeah, it's not listed but when I emailed him asking about it he replied saying he already has the scan of that back glass.
I'm actually going to send mine to him so that I can keep the mirror portion of the glass. Here is his reply in the email

"A complete restoration for your Stern Lectronomo original artwork (non mirrored with Grey Substitution), on new tempered glass is $275 + $55 Fedex Ground shipping cost to your address in the Continental US ($45 shipping to the Midwest and New England, $65 Shipping to the West Coast).

If you would like a mirrored version, then I will need your original glass. I will strip the ink from it and bond restored artwork to it preserving the original mirroring highlights. Please note any imperfections in you mirrored original blank will still be present on the restoration and backed with grey. This service is available for an additional $50 service fee plus the cost of shipping your glass to me. Instructions for packing your original securely for shipment are available on the website. "

Hope that helps.

good to know.

Mine isn't perfect... but not worth the expense at this time. Have another machine that I want to upgrade first.

Thanks!

Completely understandable. I think the only reason I'm getting mine done is because I have so little into it right now.

True... even after getting that you're under what I have into mine with the purchase, LED conversion, NVRAM upgrade and time tweaking!

...and for a simple game it is a lot of un!

I replaced the burned up knocker and ran new cables from the MPU to Sound Board. I also recapped the SB-100 sound board and I am happy to say that I have sound now.

Progress......

Love my Lectronamo. I just scored an almost mint BG for mine a month or so ago. I like the electronic sound granted its just a bunch of blips and bloops.

Man I vote admit, the electronic chimes are amazingly worse than the stock sound

I see you have a Sinbad in your collection as well. I have that pin too. What's your thoughts on that one?

Great unit to spend time playing. I find the chimes are super loud so I rest a rag on them and it makes them quieter but they don't lose their nice notes. Rolling down that left side and having the ball drain on the right out lane sure can piss you off at times.
