All,

Trying to get input from the community for my next pinball purchase late next year. From your experience which game would you recommend and why?

1) The Simpsons Pinball Party
2) Attack From Mars (Remake - LE)
3) Total Nuclear Annihilation
4) Other (Your own game suggestion is desired to hear)

Some information of myself:

- I current have #metallica-le , #star-wars-stern-le , Tales from the Crypt , NBA Fastbreak , Bronco . So I have games that are rather long ball times, "chopping down wood" concepts. This game will most likely be for my own entertainment as the wife/kids are not into pinball games

- I enjoy Fast and long games with deep code.
- Have been to multiple Pinball expos and tournments. Played as much pinball machines as I could in the past and my budget allows games in this price point (up to $8,000).

Given COVID is preventing pinball expos from happening to conversate with other pinball enthusiasts, I'm reaching out on pinside for your take to see your perspective which game you recommend.

Thanks,

Robert

Fast and long games, I think it all points to TSPP !

I find that game to be decently fast, not as stop and go as one would think, especially with the upper right flipper and the upper playfield ones that are designed to keep the peace going.
It has tons of multiballs mode that all play fast and the code depth is unmatched.

Added to that, The Simpsons is a super theme and can provide endless hours of game.

Jurassic Park or Iron Maiden. Best games in modern history in my opinion for bang for the buck with deep rule sets and fun gameplay. If you have the extra coin get a JJP POTC. Too pricey for me but an incredible game.

I own TSPP and it's fantastic and deep but starts to feel like a chore to play after awhile. It seldom gets played in my house.

AFM and TNA are both amazing games too but their rule sets are so generic and there doesnt feel to be enough bang for the buck to grab my money.

I have TSPP and AFM, but keepers for me but very different.... I really love them both.... and TNA is on my watch list..

AFM vs. TSPP:

Theme: Tie... I love them both:
Appearance: Tie, both nice art packages.
Sound: AFM, sound package is awesome, I think one of the best ever.
Deep code: TSPP all day long...vs. most pins. Good luck getting to the end, I will never see it.
Speed, flow... AFM has the edge here, its a simple fan layout playfield that is just awesome.
More shots.... TSPP, lots of stuff on that playfield, I don't think this game gets near enough credit for playfield design....
Overall: Tie, great to have them both in small collection.

AFM and Simpson's are both good playing games, but make sure you play TNA before buying. I was all hyped early-on to buy one due to the rave reviews until I played it at a show. Repetitive snooze fest. Learned a valuable lesson--don't buy based on hype, play it first.
