Quoted from Monte:I played this. Phenomenal. It will go down as one of the best pinball machines by Stern. The only gripe, the animation graphics of the LCD are inconsistent in resolution. The animation of mummy lock looks like a ps4. The flight of Icarus looks like it’s from Nintendo.
The inconsistency of the animation quality isn't as off-putting as the static text, but I totally hear you. It really needs some motion graphics to give the words punch and energy.
That's like, the only gripe I have about this game.
Quoted from oopsallberrys:Feature Adjustment #69 to turn off song select after every ball.
The only downside to this is that when you're playing single player and drain, your song starts in "the exciting spot" pre-plunge, then abruptly changes to where you left off on your previous ball. It's very weird. Better to leave the song selection adjustment on, ignore that screen, and just plunge and play.
The only reasons I could see someone not enjoying Iron Maiden pinball:
- you just HAVE to have a bash toy (though the captive ball almost counts)
- you like easy ramp shots (these are not easy, but so, so satisfying)
- you don't dig "intensity" (there's lightning and Satan all over this thing, and it moves)
- you think four flippers is two too many
Seriously, I am struggling to find negatives about this game. Someone early on in one if the main threads said how we're all "exploring" this game and they totally nailed it. This game has nuance and secrets - so much to see and do and learn about. And it works, and it's affordable and it's most importantly FUN!!
Quoted from bigd1979:And man the left outlane is brutal on mine
Sounds like you're flipping the big loop too late
