I'm already in for the Premium but this is certainly not what I was expecting for the LE art.
Expected something darker theme wise and more in lines with their album covers....wow this is colorful!
The speakers look bad ass, best thing about the cabinet.
I do like the translite better than the pro, but not a fan of the explosion artwork behind the fighter or behind the tank. Explosions behind Edddie on bg looks good but behind the tank reminds me of this:

Im still 100% down for my premium.
I like the extra features (yes could have been more... cause I like magnets and long subways!) And certainly dont think they hinder gameplay at all but add to it.
I am biased about the theme though as I am Maiden fan so theme itself guaranteed a spot in the lineup and to me that makes up for any lack of feature value for the price of the premium.
Overall im happy with what I saw on the stream and cant wait to get it in!!!

If the feature matrix is correct and its egyptian themed then it should tie in perfectly to the playfiled and hopefully complete the whole package as far as looks go.
I hope it will look like the powerslave album but wont be surprised if it doesnt. But i belive it will be inspired by it like the backboard graphics are.
Kind of hard to screw up the egyptian art theme as your going to either have eddie as the sphynx or pharoah eddie, each one fitting perfectly with the game. That works on the cab sides or backglass for this pin!
Heres some egyptian eddie art from the video game (which i havent played) and the comics (which i havent read) but im guessing we will see art or art theme along these lines:

I am definitely no fan of the le artwork but I honestly don't think the premium could be worse....right!?...right???
(No offense to those that like the le artwork, seriously if you like it who the f*ck cares what anyone else thinks!)
BUT unless they have airplanes flying around a pyramid with jetpack eddies(?) shooting fireworks, I can't believe they can screw it up.
Even an ultra colorful egyptian eddie theme would go along with the playfield art (I still hope its not ultra colorful).
I hope the official le reveal also reveals the premium.... would be ridiculous for a long ass separate reveal for the premium.....but so far this is certainly not a traditional reveal.

Shame we have to add these to bulletproof the cab of all things, but looks like its worth it for the long hual. Actually forget the long haul, but for the now, we shouldnt be seeing splits this early on at all!!!

After the few tweaks the game plays excellent, every customer who played it walked away loving it , wanting it, even the guys who don't love the Iron Maiden music (and I have this game hooked up to PSW-10 sub and cranked up) shaking the whole building , said they were thinking about getting one.
I firmly believe this is Sterns best game in a long time. Enjoy

Anyone know if stern is putting out side blades for the prem and pro? Or are they just putting them in the LEs?
I know 3rd party blades will be out all over the place, was just hoping to have artwork with Eddie in them even if its different than the LE blades.

I wonder how they will do the topper which will fit all 3 styles and hopefully be interactive. Hmmm im thinking maybe a collage of different eddies? Or maybe just trooper eddie (which would work on pro and le but look kinda off on the prems)?

It was an easy choice for me.
I didnt want to spend the $$$ for the LE (especially now with the markups) so le not even an option. So the choice was really between pro and prem.
This is a keeper for me and I am a Maiden fan so choice was easy to get the extra features of the prem. I dont base the games I buy on the cab or bg artwork, though its always a plus if I like them. I do take into account the pf artwork which happens to be the same in all three so that wasnt a deciding factor. (And I like the pf look)
I was in for the prem without having to even see the external artwork of it or the le. Im glad I like the artwork too, only complaint is I dont like the 'horus' eddie displayed so prominently on the bg... totally reminds me of angry bird eddie!
Since we knew it wasnt going to be album art style, all things considered, I like the overall look of the prem. But even if the artwork wasnt to my taste I would have still gotten the prem.

Id hope if they are going to put them in the bg that they make a show at some point in the animations.

I like lollipop rails as well. Though I nudge more than I slap I never take off my ring when playing. Also I dont ask or expect any guest to take off their rings when playing either, especially if we are having a party. I like the extra protection and not having to worry about permanent damage or wear.
There are also always these which are the inbetween of the mylar button covers and the lollipop rails. Havent tried them but seem like a good idea.

Ya it would suck if it started to rubb off on powdercoats and in that case youre right mylar would be better. Id just worry about potential ring dings though.
Do most people ask others to take off rings before playing?
Im actually waiting to see if stern puts out the side armor and what it looks like. Though their side armor is always so damn expensive!
