Quoted from TimeBandit:I've learned a lot about B66 strategy!!
Seriously! It's now abbreviated BM66-24-7-365
Quoted from PW79:One fedora per crew
True. And you know if you're in an old band when no one has a beard. All new bandmembers must have beards.
Quoted from CrazyLevi:I checked out some of the stream. Really don't know what to say except this is how the big boys do it. I'm very impressed and looking forward to playing it soon, and seeing what this team has in store for us in the future.
+1 to timballs too. This looks amazing. Not really a fan of the band, but I said the same thing about MET.
Rules and gameplay look solid.
Quoted from cooked71:I love the idea of the upper right flipper shot to the left inner loop with the little flipper on the edge. You can activate the little upper left flipper before you shoot the loop to open the entrance up - reminds me of the camera shot on TZ. Was such a satisfying shot.
And with the rule set, the game awards you 2x points for the loop with the flipper down than up. Tougher shot.
Quoted from Gryszzz:No way! That's crazy.
Yeah I can’t remember the exact rule (2x jackpot, or bonus, or points) but that’s a really cool nuance to gameplay.
Quoted from mattosborn:Can't wait for the custom Di'Anno translite and the music replaced with beauties like this:

Literally dying watching this!
Quoted from Concretehardt:I am digging the British accent gal that’s doing the call outs!
Don’t get your hopes up!
I guess I’m in the minority, but looking at the second stream I wasn’t as excited about the pin. I am not the biggest Maiden fan, but gameplay matters kind of most. I was ready to preorder, but I don’t know if I dig the “loops all day” gameplay I’ve seen. If you can’t control the ball, looks like you can just flail at the back target ramp to help out. Both good and bad. Ramps can be ignored a LOT, it seems, despite their Metallica looks. Those two inner loops really seem to dominate gameplay. I think that’ll be frustrating to novice players.
Still looking forward to trying this at Pinfest for sure. For competitive play, the rules look solid as hell, though.
Oh and never change, Pinside...
Quoted from jkashani:Does not seem to be much pop bumper action, more loops and center target action. Seems fast and somewhat forgiving. Just my observations, cant really declare anything until I actually play it.
Looking forward to playing it at Pinfest too, but it’s really loop heavy. Not sure about that. Much less ramp play in all the streams. We’ll see.
Quoted from j_m_:- I won't go into how much a game only 3 days [in the field] is looking like an acne ridden teenager, but the correcting the 2 issues above could go a long way to alleviating or reducing this issue
Dude, Steve Ritchie says that’s normal.
“Play softer!”
Quoted from cscmtp:Dang it all these new posts and no pictures? you guys are like the Golden Girls on here...
Quoted from Sammy31:How dumb are we? Whenever someone says the reveal is tomorrow, we believe them! ....
BTW I heard the real reveal is tomorrow...
Hey guys!
Quoted from Mr68:Is it possible to order this without the artwork and without the music?
I legit LOL'd on that one.
For the Maiden fan though, you must be like a kid on Christmas morning. Like literally.
Quoted from Tuna_Delight:I wish my distributor had leaked me ANY photos.
Here you go.
Quoted from wcbrandes:It is Christmas!
Aren't we all just kids on "Iron Maiden LE Reveal Morning" at heart?
Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:Red trim is not looking so hot. Would like to see it mocked up in metallic blue. I don't have they skills but maybe someone can ......
down and dirty
Quoted from GorillaBiscuits:Here ya go. I'm still feeling the red.
That's very good. Unfortunate $250-$500 change for an LE, but I agree it looks better.
I'd be COMPLETELY happy with a Pro vs. an LE on this one.
What happened to the 3D stuff we were told about? Layers of 2D art screwed on top of each other are "technically" 3D, but we're grasping at straws here.
I mean, let's create art and put 4 screws into it, then some plastic to block it, then call it a feature?
Quoted from TheLaw:Then most games since the 80s have had "3D" plastics
Collection value just went up!
Quoted from J85M:I dunno man, I would probably go Prem all day everyday, that lock mech looks pretty damn sweet plus any kind of diverter on a ramp is usually a neat trick especially if it completely changes up the ramp shot - its 2 shots for the price of 1 ramp. Shame there doesn't seem to be a vari target like there was on Archer or the lower scoop but I am nit picking as the whole package on this game looks great!
Saying all that though I don't think anyone going Pro on this release would be disappointed though the Pro itself is a more than competent package!
The premium may knock it out of the park and really hit the sweet spot of features and art, but I have a feeling the lifting ramp might get in the way of the flow of the game, like bicycle girl. I know it's different, but still, is it worth like a 2K difference?
Quoted from flynnibus:Dude - you are way off on that critique. The launcher there is a flat plastic with a ball deflector on it. The 3D stuff you are talking about is on the backboard... and it's there and MOVES.
Talking aesthetics. Hardly visual amazement. But I was never a huge fan of stacked Shrinky Dinks anyway.
Quoted from Pale_Purple:LE and premium should have the same playfield right?
They should.
Quoted from PanzerFreak:Dialed In is perfect just the way it is in my opinion. Music is great, callouts are excellent, etc. My family and friends enjoy Dialed In, whereas I don't see any enjoying Iron Maiden due to the music. I don't mind Iron Maidens music personally but I want to have games that my wife, family and friends enjoy and that's why I bought Dialed In.
I hope that Stern rethemes Iron Maiden to a theme that has more appeal to friends and family. If it was just me I may consider buying the game but instead will enjoy playing it on location.
My 8 year-old now asks "Alexa" to play Iron Maiden all the time. 2 Minutes To Midnight is his favorite.
I would say we have a better chance of Bruce Dickinson personally delivering an LE to me rather than a retheme happening.
Quoted from frankmac:I have never played WWE but would love to. Can not be that bad.
It is probably the most hated game.
It's fun as hell. It's not a typical layout but perfect for the theme. WWF is god-awful compared to it.
Quoted from dgoett:Way too much "Egypt". Only 1 of their 16 studio albums was based on Egypt. I think the backboard and middle of the playfield is almost too much.
Also - The Trooper - Maiden's most iconic Eddie, it's represented ANYWHERE on the premium.
Can I Play with Sadness?
Quoted from pninja005:Gosh you guys got me confused now. Since I am not a maiden fan (besides run to the hills), I was sure pro was the way to go. Now seeing the premium pics and reading the comments....
So which is the one to buy? Why should I get prem or LE over pro?
I have a pro. It's a ton of fun. I'd love an LE, but the $ just don't add up. Premium with Powerslave art, I'd be ALL IN though. Sadly, it didn't happen, though I be the Premium looks great in person (all do).
I don't know if the features of the premium/le slow the gameplay down, but they sure seem to in the videos. It's a little, but it's there.
Quoted from Pimp77:As an outsider that isn’t an IM fan and have not bought any version of the game, the LE cabinet is the best and the Pro translight is the best. The worst of the three: the Premium, is still pretty damn good. All are winners!
Personally I would LOVE to have the LE translight on my Pro.
Quoted from jewboyflowerhead:Really? Trooper mb is a great way to get points. I am an average player at best and seem to average between 200-300 million per game. 25 million in a Stern multiball mode seems low, especially compared to other recent sterns. Scoring high on previous sterns seemed to be the only way to get high scores. Maiden seems pretty balanced. Lots of point to be had in single ball modes
Yep really. Looks lik one Lock is lit, ALL locks are lit. Pretty sure this is not the intent.
When you get a mystery award of “light Trooper locks” (or something like that), only the first Lock is enabled.
It was not that easy in .97
Quoted from Eskaybee:And if you think 25M is a good trooper mb, you may want to 'Play Better'
Uh, no. If you can collect The Trooper within the first 45 seconds of a game with a measly 25MM points, it sure as hell is an exploit. That’s the point. Good for you on your points though!
Sure settings can be changed, but who does that esp. on location.
Quoted from Tuna_Delight:Sharing this with the overall IMDN group FWIW. This came out of a discussion I had with Steve at Pinball Refinery regarding potential armor/trim colors. The color is intended to be close to the radiation yellow/green he offers for TSPP.
No thank you sir.
Quoted from bigd1979:The new code no longer loads trooper mb behind the post? I really liked that feature.....
Me too. One of the coolest features.
Quoted from PinMonk:So 15 mill, super slings, then can I play with madness? That seems pretty easy to get to. I thought it would be harder...
Me too. It’s madness!
