To me the Premium is the only logical way to go.
LE: you pay a lot for stuff that does absolutely nothing for the gameplay.
Pro: you miss out on a lot of things that does a lot for the gameplay.

Quoted from aerobert:Yeah, a lot of repairs.
Doubt it since it is a very simple mechanical function.
I have never had to service it once on my 28 year old Whirlwind.
Quoted from bigd1979:Looks like the premium will have all /most of the archer features which is how it was designed ..unlike the pro where its missing some things.
Once the Premium is out you will see just how much the Pro is missing.
Quoted from facelift:Why does Stern, an American company, ship their first batch of pins to Europe?
Seems like they should be shipping to Americans first and other countries to follow later...
Maybe because Europe is a bigger market than the US?
Maybe because Iron Maiden as a band is bigger in Europe than in the US?
Maybe because it was a European distributor who first pitched the idea of Iron Maiden to Gary? (All together he pitched 6 game titles of which 5 now have become a reality. I am not going to reveal the last one.)
Maybe because they want the games to hit the market at roughly the same time?
Maybe because the universe does not revolve around the US even though many Americans seem to think so?
Maybe none of the above?
Maybe all the above?
You choose
Quoted from TigerLaw:Yep, I’m impressed and considering jumping on this train myself. Waiting to see the premium.
Prediction: Pinside will probably lose their shit again when the Premium is released.
Prepare for involuntary bowel depletion
Quoted from pauloz:Am I the only one who doesn’t care about what artwork is going to be on the LE? Totally don’t give a rats, I just want it in the games room.
No, me neither but that´s because I am probably getting a Premium
Quoted from pinmister:The jury is still out of whether or not Pro or Premium/LE will be the way to go for this title.
If you ask me Premium is the only way to go.
All the intended gameplay minus the unnecessary and costly bling bling.
Quoted from chuckwurt:Yeah if there are silver screws and nuts on the premium, I’m gonna lose it.
That is why you own an airbrush.
Quoted from pipes:So, basically what you want is a premium then.
Yes, unless the side art makes me want to poke my eyes out.
Quoted from chuckwurt:I do? Mind showing me where it is?
Yes it is right next to the.
OK .."should own an airbrush" happy now
Glad this thread is back on track after two pages of shirtless selfies and arm hair.
By the way, why someone would use a shirtless selfie as an avatar on a forum which to 95% consists of men is beyond me…
Now if only Stern could release picture of the Premium. This is torture.
Quoted from vid1900:Just glue a bunch of dolls all over the playfield and glue a bunch on top of the backbox.
That will make it nice.
Yes, because we all know that toys, dolls and other crap is what makes a good game grate
Quoted from kpg:It really is mind blowing people can spend thousands of dollars on a commercial grade amusement machine, built with high tech mechanical hardware designed and assembled by some extremely talented and gifted engineers, artists, coders, etc. Then immediately turn around and browse Walmart.com for the shittiest lame figurines they can find and Elmers glue the things to their brand new playfields.
My point exactly, well said.
Stern better hire more staff. This will sell A TON.
But I agree, black trim looks so much better than the yellow. Easy fix though.
Premium was worth the wait.
This is MY take on the Pro vs. Premium vs. LE
Side art, cabinet and backbox:
1. Pro
2. Premium
3. LE
Translite/backglass
1. LE
2. Premium
3. Pro
Playfield:
1. Premium/LE
2. –
3. Pro
Value for money:
1. Pro
2. Premium
3. LE
Side art and translate tie in to playfield and concept:
1. Premium
2. Pro
3. LE
Overall, all things considered:
1. Premium
2. Pro
3. LE
However, don´t get me wrong I would be proud to own any of the models they are all grate machines! but if I must put them against each other above would be the outcome for me.
I saw maiden yesterday in Stockholm and all I can say is holy s*it!
The performance, set list, sound, crowd etc. was of the chart.
Before the show I got to play the game on site at the Arena and it was a blast.
Only bad thing was the dimpling already very visible on the playfield even though the game had only been on location for a few weeks.
I will most likely put a protector on my Premium before the very first play.
Quoted from Strummy:Dimpling is normal.
Yes, but I feel the dimpling seen on some never games are worse than the dimpling in the past.
But for sure the steel ball will always win in the end.
For those interested this was the set list yesterday:
Aces high
Where eagles dare
2 minutes to midnight
The clansmen
The Trooper
Revelations
For the greater good of God
The Wicker man
Sign of the cross
Flight of Icarus
Fear of the dark
Number of the beast
Iron Maiden
The evil that men do
Hallowed be thy name
Run to the hills
667 the neighbor of the beast
well maybe not the last one
