They are two different type of singers. Freddy wouldn't have been as good as Bruce in Iron Maiden and Bruce wouldn't be as good as Freddy with Queen either.

Freddy Mercury was actually a pretty good singer but way to flamboyant for my liking. David Byrne though, are you kidding me? lmao

I love everything about this game except the music. On a serious note, I am wondering if it would be possible for Stern to secure the Archer license and do a "Archer Pinball" with what was supposed to be Archer from the start. Stern could use same design and layout like they did for Shrek and Family Guy. I would have pulled the trigger on an Archer, but I am on the fence with IMDN. I honestly think I would have to put in some System of Down or something via pinball browser just to tolerate the music.

I never realized Maidens' music was so polarizing. Metal fans regard them as a band EVERYONE likes. I guess I can understand how Bruce's vocals can wear thin on some people in large doses, but to each his own. I've always loved them since I was a little kid so I'm not the most objective reviewer. Vocals aside, the music kicks ass! Harmony leads, killer galloping bass lines, technical drumming, what's not to like? I think the music is gonna be perfect for a pin and some of you haters might come around. Sorry for the ramble. I can't wait to play this pin. Up the Irons!

I'm a Maidenholic, too. People like what they like. Justin Bieber makes my ears bleed, ACDC sounds like the singer has throat cancer [both of them], Country is twang twang twang, and don't even get me started on hiphop/rap.

People are wired differently and you just have to accept that. The important thing is, Maiden got made, it looks to be a kickass game and our little corner of pinball are as happy as 6 year olds at Christmas!

Maiden's music is very "videogamey" which will be a great fit for pinball.

As opposed to say, slow drunken stoner music like Jimmy Buffet. (not a dig at Jimmy, just that it's not a good fit)

I can't believe we're finally getting an Iron Maiden pin and it looks way better than I expected it to be.

The only disappointment so far are the people who already are talking about either re-theming or changing the music on this machine. Seriously, if you don't like the music buy a different music pin with music you like instead. Just crazy even thinking or considering something like that. If anyone actually does that, they should be blacklisted from the hobby forever.

Unless you take a Rolling Stones machine and turn it into an Iron Maiden pin. Then you get pass

In case folks hadn't noticed, the PDF of the manual for the Pro is now posted on Stern's website. I'm thrilled to see the 8-driver node board used under the playfield is 520-7017-72, which is the same exact one going back several games now - Star Wars, Guardians, Aerosmith, BM66, and even GB as this part replaces the 8-driver that originally shipped on that game. So, looks like the node churn is behind us now... That's great news from a future part availability perspective!

Nice catch! Good news indeed, now we just need them to be made in enough volume to bring the price under $50.

I’m strongly considering risking my pinball card by changing the music. Iron Maiden is not something I enjoyed growing up, nor do I appreciate the music. That said, the artwork, flow, callouts and sound effects look really great for this game.
(Even Elwin said something like: “It’s great music for a pinball machine” when asked if he liked Maiden. -NOT exactly what you might call a glowing endorsement)

That said, I’m dying to see the video again (or a new one) because it seemed like it might be ok turned down, more as background music than blaring/distracting music to listen to while playing. The callouts were very prominent. The sound effects sounded great (love the spinner hits).

What will determine whether I redo it with pinball browser is whether the rules are tied in to the music -and it seems as though they are. As I recall, Run to the Hills was about hitting orbits. (Or was that fear of the dark?) and Aces high was combo shots to shoot down other planes? Like, it might just be better in the long run to turn it down a little and learn to live with it.

Either way, I’m super stoked for this title which says a lot since I don’t like the band. Stern appears to have hit another home run and it’s great to see so many people excited about it. Especially many who were “done” with Stern NIB purchases.

But, agree with Keith - it's great music for a pinball machine, as it is crazy, high intensity and if the game is also intense, it will be a great match.

TNA or Maiden - I can't decide. Would like both obviously!

I was wondering what the RGBeacon could be.

For those that aren’t fans of the music but want to own or like this pin. Have a listen to Powerslave album from start to finish. Don’t do any of that BS download a couple random songs and listen to 10 second spurts. Maiden was around in the time where albums actually meant something to listen to from start to finish. And If that does nothing for you, then there’s no hope, spend your time and money elsewhere
