I think I counted 38 one time? The highest I know of, although WoZ is up there too.. Then again Hobbit has ten coils just in one 5 bank of drops so its not really saying that much

In a five bank it would have 6 coils (five individually controlled drops + reset) right? So all drops on Hobbit would amount to 14 coils.

Didn't really go down, though. They reduced the MSRP, but all that did is make the price they're listing as MSRP closer to the street price. It's actually $200-300 more street price, so the real price went up. It's a fake-out, hidden price increase in actual terms.
This thread is weird. Counting coils, really? I have never once associated a game's coil count to anything.
That being said, if someone wants to make the graphic that lists all the games in the top 100 with their coil counts, I would look at it.

Each target on Hobbit has an individual drop and reset coil, so 22 for them.

I hope they fail to approve the slanted-sideways Iron Maiden logo on the translite. Just feels wrong. Make it nice and level... 
...and it's not about coil count so much as how many "motorized sarcophogus ball lock mechanism"s a game has.

Im waiting for the offical coil count thread, preferably sticky'd at the top of the main page for ease of finding. I know i never lose more sleep then when im laying there trying to go to bed and i cant remember how many coils Roller Games has.

One more sling on the upper left. The chart in the manual counts flipper + troll power+hold windings as separate and gives 4 to things like stepper motors for smaug.

U can get dile for under 9 and standard under 8k...

Coils are cheap and standard... in comparison to custom mechs ... like the potc spinning disks, qed guy, potc upper playfield, theater on di, ball lock chest on potc, both woz upper playfields, smaug and stuff like that are what cost real money.
