RASH. I mean RUSH ! It would be my 1st new-pin purchase.
Quoted from o-din:Hey pez, do Dead Kennedys before the money runs out, would ya?
they're coming right after Buzzcocks and Minor Threat.
Quoted from pezpunk:they're coming right after Buzzcocks and Minor Threat.
That's the kind of music pin lineup I'd like to see!
Can't get into REO Speedwagon or Styx anymore.
Quoted from ccbiggsoo7:yeah, ac/dc, metallica are def 2 of the worst pins ever made!!!!
Couldn't agree more!
Fugazi. They only make one machine and you are only able to rent it for $15 for 24 hours and then the next person gets it.
What is wrong with a Fleetwood Mac Pin? In all these "I Want a Band Pin!" topics, there is very little mention of Fleetwood Mac. Also where is the Meat Loaf pin?
Quoted from Frippertron:Fugazi. They only make one machine and you are only able to rent it for $15 for 24 hours and then the next person gets it.
Correction: $5. Also, you’d need to sit down while you played it
Quoted from Rdoyle1978:Foo Fighters makes a LOT of sense; the band has the sense of humor and sense of "fun" to go along with it
Ok, but not the music.
Quoted from nascarrey:I'm sure this band could sell a lot of machines.....
where in boys town?
Quoted from erak:A pinball machine theme should tell a story.
All a band theme machine does is advertise the band.
Wow, firstly its the same story over and over so you can't avoid repetition in a pinball machine and the ruleset in the better band pins is a refreshing change from that story heavy mode based style, I need both. As for advertising the band most people who buy a band based pin do not need to be sold on the music.
Quoted from DrDQ:I Love You Man, Jerry Stiller, etc) that could work very well with a video.
Ok to make a Rush and base it on that piece of crap film would be such an injustice when Rush has more than enough original content to be great. What the hell is happening here.
Slayer is my top pick
Black Sabbath with Ozzy and Dio and for me I would love a Born Again mode
Judas Priest
Megadeth
Deep Purple
theres 5 but so many more that just will never happen
I would also really like to see a Classical themed pinball machine. Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Vivaldi, Wagner
Masters of Classic
Quoted from Hazoff:Ok, but not the music.

Not suggesting to base an entire theme on a movie. The point is there is great music (for some of us), but also a lot of existing concert and movie based video content with tongue in cheek, and self deprecating humor. Adding in Rush in Pop Culture also could make some sense (some of it may also be licensed through Rush as it has been used in Concert). This way the pin isn’t simply a music pin. Also...as you probably know the Band themselves wouldn’t want it to be too serious. It would have to have some good comedy and call outs.
Every day I am more and more thankful that pinball companies make most of their games with themes I have very little or absolutely zero interest in.
Heaven forbid they would ever make more than one or two each decade that might actually tempt me to buy them.
I would love a beastie boys pin, it'll happen someday.
I will upvote everyone that says Van Halen. I did all the artwork for converting a Dolly Parton to Van halen for Hugh from the open pinball project, and he was kind enough to let me have it. It's another dream theme
Quoted from Ericpinballfan:Oingo Boingo, since there will never be a reunion tour.
Imagine how awesome the artwork could be.
Quoted from rufessor:Personally- I would vote no more rock band pins. Enough already. But if it must happen-
Ramones
Please no. I personally feel that none of them would approve of this, although we might like it.
The stupid exercise bike ad with "Hey Ho Let's Go" as background music is an abomination and would not have been made while any of them were still alive.
Man, I hate that ad.
That said, the custom homebrew Ramones pin that someone had a couple years ago looked cool, and I think the band would have liked it as a 1-off custom.
Quoted from RCA1:I personally feel that none of them would approve of this
Beside Marky, it would be kind of hard for any of them to say no.
Quoted from o-din:Beside Marky, it would be kind of hard for any of them to say no.
PLus their music sucked.
EDIT:Oh wait sorry, did some fact checking and that doens't matter for Pins.
Quoted from o-din:Beside Marky, it would be kind of hard for any of them to say no.
Wow. Sorry to write Marky off like that. Somehow I thought they had all passed away.
Wish he would pull approval from that stupid ad.
Quoted from TheLaw:PLus their music sucked.
Perhaps, but then everybody would finally be able to get that gabba gabba hey pinhead dude on a spring toy they have always wanted.
Quoted from RCA1:Sorry to write Marky off like that.
He's a DJ now playing cool stuff on satellite radio. At least he was before I pulled the plug on that.
Quoted from Zavadoza:Just basing on personal preference, I'd really like a Foo Fighters pin. Eagles would be great as well.
Beatles is going to happen soon. I thought it would be next KaPow, but now it sounds like the Munsters.
I never thought of it but dude foo fighters would be legit.
Quoted from jbovenzi:Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention. Has to have a Dinah Moe Humm shaker motor!
Titties N' Beer mountain ramp with a devil toy at the top
Quoted from DrDQ:as you probably know the Band themselves wouldn’t want it to be too serious. It would have to have some good comedy and call outs.
No it wouldn't but thats my opinion. I really like what they did with Met, AC/DC and from what I've seen IrM in terms of gameplay and ruleset but I had to completely attenuate the speech in Met because its horrid while I appreciate good humor yet to really see that implemented into a pin. Deadpool could be the first for me if they use movie quotes by RR, an actor with Stern comedic writing and it will be terrible.
Seriously, which band needs a pin?
Lots of choices, but how about...
The Offspring
Gorillaz
Or just make one of these...
Van Halen
Black Sabbath/Ozzy
Here is a better list.....
1. Ozzy
2. Black Sabbath
3. Beatles
4. Motley Crue
5. Led Zeppelin
6. Rush
7. Redo Rob Zombie
8. Dio
9. Van Halen
10. Queen
11. Jimmy Hendrix
12. Def Leppard
13. Type O Negative (Just for me)
Quoted from Puffdanny:The only band I want to see a machine based on is Gwar.can you imagine the blood bath multi ball with the bone saw topper spraying fake blood on you as you're playing?I'm sure they could sell at least 3 or 4 of these.
I like where you’re going with this. Like the Whirlwind topper but spraying blood?
I would be all in on a Sabbath pin but I’m at a loss to think of another that would get my cockles in an uproar. Besides Ween of course.
Quoted from Clnilsen:This needs to be real.. Time out for fun, spuds.
I have a Devo pin in my head that would look awesome. Not sure how to make it fun or integrate songs into gameplay.
Songs like Pink Pussycat and Penetration in the Centerfold would be a little harsh for part of the Pinside crowd.
Quoted from Frippertron:Fugazi. They only make one machine and you are only able to rent it for $15 for 24 hours and then the next person gets it.
This Is Not A Fugazi Pinball
Dude it's just a joke about their anti-commercialism and the fact that they always made things super affordable for their fans.

ah, sorry for the misunderstanding -- i wasn't being critical, i was referencing this t-shirt

i probably saw a dozen $5 Fugazi shows. I even got yelled at by Ian MacKaye one time for talking too loud during their set. I've met them a few times too ... their producer, Don Zientara, engineered one of my band's albums, and while we were recording at Inner Ear, they showed up to load their gear for a tour. Huge thrill for us, because they are absolute legends.
