    Quoted from Coyote:

Okay, I'll ask the stupid question.. I thought the next game was unlicensed?

Correct, so this question is what machine is after that....which is why people are making fun of it being 5 or more years away.

    #77 3 years ago
    Quoted from Kerry_Richard:

Pat Lawlor said he wanted to do a theme he has thought of for years. I believe JJP said he was on board with that. So, that is something to ponder.

That should be their #3 & unlicensed

I don't know aboot Munsters. They've tried 2 semi recent reboots and failed horribly...but I guess if it's strictly selling the old school to fans it could work. I wouldn't mind the theme...could be pretty interesting.

Half this thread seems to be ignored user posts .. I wonder who it could possibly be.

Has to have the lowest Thumbs up %.

    Quoted from whitey:

Haunted house has been done, graveyard theme ? The Munsters!

AS we've discussed Munsters just went through a couple failed reboots, so it may not be the best for general public; although probably great for home buyers.

    Quoted from Jasontaps:

I would love to see Pat revisit Cyclone with a up to date twist.

Did he visit it a first time?

    #336 3 years ago
    Quoted from Jasontaps:

Pat doesn't have to be the designer of the original to create a modern remake.
I would think Barry would be honored.

Uff no thanks...3rd disaster much more interesting than going into someone elses theme park ideas....I mean from PL anyway. I agree with you it could be an interesting theme. Althoguh haven't seen much art work on their PFs and that's the best part of those theme park games.

    Quoted from lowepg:

...If they did, then games like Shrek, Rocky & Bullwinkle, Flintstones, etc would have resulted in droves of kids clamoring for pinball.... didn't happen.

In their defense those games are shit

    Quoted from Rarehero:

The Flintstones movie was a bomb - no kid or adult at the time would have been attracted to that machine.

    Clearly

    Domestic: $130,531,208 38.2%
    + Foreign: $211,100,000 61.8%
    = Worldwide: $341,631,208

    Flintstones
    Yearly 1994 5
    Yearly Opening Weekends 1994 2
    Yearly PG Rated 1994 2
    Worldwide Yearly 1994 6

    Quoted from Hazoff:

WTF is going on here? Its me I know but come on, Blade Runner, Robocop, Running man,...

Well having the license is a big deal....but as an "owner" of Alien like you are, you're probably figuring that out.

Theme was never horrible to me. It's a classic film that's still watchable today, by a wide range of people. It's 'Merica so everyone started freaking out aboot how "gay" it was for some reason, but it isn't any worse than WWE or Mustang.
The only real problem was the red slipper flipper...very bad.

    #423 3 years ago
    Quoted from Hazoff:

you guys must have missed this,...

    No we got it.

    Quoted from Hazoff:

but its not exactly popular within the male friends that I hang out with, I've never heard "lets watch a film, what will it be, MadMax or WOZ?

The point is it's just a theme...which doesn't mean that much. Take your collection, I have, LITERALLY never heard someone say "Let's watch Johnny Mnemonic...that's a great one!" I mean...no one would say that in front of people that I know anyway; they'd never live it down. But it's a game you like.
The flip side is, I've seen Robocop probably 100 times, and I have LITERALLY never said "Damn let's play some Robocop this pin is sweet."

    #426 3 years ago
    Quoted from Skyemont:

Just found out today Pats game is this theme. Don't hold me to it of course..

YEs we've all known this for years

    #428 3 years ago
    Quoted from Hazoff:

Don't care anymore but comparing WOZ to Madmax is an extremely far leap from comparing JM to Robocop,

    Which I never did.

    Quoted from Hazoff:

As for Robocop its a great pin. I;m done with this.

Ha...God I hope you're done...you've already gone off the deep end. That game is a cute novelty, but pure shit.

    #433 3 years ago
    Quoted from yuriijos:

I actually think JJP could give Star Wars some justice. With so many films it should be deep as shit and they could deliver.

    Must....resist....

EDIT: Yeah and they'll be like 5 more films out by then so even more to love I tried

    #483 3 years ago
    Quoted from PanzerFreak:

None of those individuals would dare say one of their rude comments to a JJP employee at a show, they save those for sitting behind their keyboard.

why...are JJP employees bad asses or something

    Quoted from DCFAN:

The TV show just got cancelled.

And the last movie didn't do too much traffic.
But this all has to do with current vs old school. People keep mentioning Munsters which has failed multiple times to re-establish itself...but I think most owners would only care that it's modeled after the original.

    #543 3 years ago
    Quoted from blastbeat:

Ok, maybe I'm just throwing out super cool movies and not being practical lol.

Don't worry, that's all Pinside speculation threads are. Well, technically I think you have mention some cock rockish hair metal band, so you might want to edit your post

    #547 3 years ago
    Quoted from blastbeat:

Which one? Ha, I need to look them up!

Oh Iron Maiden is the standard around here. They're the best band no one you know listens to...or "that one guy."
They're really big in South America though. One guy said Bon Jovi once and got a huge amount of shit for it...but people have no issue saying Motley Crue would be a good idea; aboot the same.

Or you can go artsy and say Rush...hard to hate on a Rush guy these days
