We all know you Pinsiders love speculating, well lets go then! What will be the next game after Fathom?

I don’t understand the love for Centaur. Someone please tell me what’s so great about it.
The black and white artwork is not my favorite but I may change my opinion. Who knows.

A lot of people like the game play.

If you are a Bally fan of that era, it's a great game.

Centaur is definitely butt ugly and not because it's black and white. It's a great shooting playfield with great rules and that's the main reason I like it. Too bad they couldn't have had that great shooting playfield along with a cool and colorful theme like Supersonic. I would be in 100% for that.

Odds are Centaur and EBD are the next two. At that point the question is whether they are willing to make a wide body? Paragon! My next few choices on this old platform would be classic Sterns, but they don't have the rights for those unfortunately.

Centaur is a great shooting solid state. I’m not sure it or fathom justify the high cost but I understand why they’re well loved.

CPR has a colored version of Centaur that looks pretty sweet in my opinion.

I actually bought the colored backglass and playfield to use on a Centaur but never got around to it. I think it looks amazing,

That does not sound like a fun game to play.

Would love Eight Ball

I would like to see Fathom delivered to all the buyers first. Speculate after that!

#12 9 months ago

Not many Fathom's came to Australia
Also not many Medusa's came either, but Medusa is not a game for everyone

EBD and Centaurs were everywhere in the 80's

They are all beautiful....to look at

What the hell did I just read in this thread, lol.... Centaur is ugly, not fun, etc., you people are nuts!! Must have just come over from the JJP Toy Story thread to release some frustration...

#17 9 months ago

This will be game #45.

#18 9 months ago

The smart money is definitely on Centaur.
That being said I think a Skateball with the over the top cosmetics of fathom would look amazing.

#19 9 months ago

I would think Centaur for certain which I can agree with. I just wish Medusa would get more love than the poll is indicating right now.

I’d rather the next game be Medusa too but the poll implies what I think it will be, not what I want it to be.

Medusa...Centaur....either way I am in.

It will be great to see their work once production is stabilized.
Very much a fan of these guys and looking forward to seeing them live up to the well deserved good wishes.

The art to me is one of the best in pinball. Black and white fits perfect imo for what it is. Again just my shitty opinion

Why does it have Laser War cab art, and in a different colour scheme?

It is a universal Bally / Stern cabinet that you can swap out standard playfields. It will run any Bally or Stern standard playfield from 1977 to 1986.

So far I have done Seawitch, Centaur and Quicksilver with Flash Gordon next with Skateball, Silverball Mania and Star Trek to follow.

I’ve owned just about every Bally late 70’s/early 80’s except for Centaur.
2 reason:
1. I can’t get past the black and white artwork.
2. Attract mode when nobody is playing is annoying as sh*t.

With that said, I wouldn’t object for a second if Haggis made Centaur.
I’ve had multiple friends say the rule sheet is a lot of fun.

I believe in Haggis.

Attract mode can be shut off.

I used to think the exact same thing..... I hated the black & white & did'nt understand the love for Centaur. THEN I restored one for a customer.... the artwork on PF is INCREDIBLY detailed (I had like 20 hours of touch ups on PF, so I studied it quite a bit LOL)

& then when the machine was done I understood the fun of the game play. I would'nt hesitate for a moment to own one. If the right resto project comes up in the future I will be adding one to my collection. I went from HATING Centaur to loving it.

#31 9 months ago

I would hope they would get all the fathoms out before working on another.

Yeah I’m guessing that’s what is going to happen to me and I’ll fall in love with it. Good stuff.

Nope. Once they are up and running, they need to keep things up and running. If Centaur is indeed the next title, then they should already be working on the prototype. At some point later they will announce the next game and begin taking orders so they can blend the new work in for efficiency and give the employees job security.

Of course when that time comes, I'm certain it won't stop some people from twisting it into a conspiracy.

#34 9 months ago

I'm crossing my fingers for Medusa. I do believe Centaur will be next, but then no guesses. 1 game at a time

Here is the 1981 holy trinity lined up. I’m sure Centaur is next, then hopefully Medusa or EBD. They’re great games with classic art, I hope everyone can get to enjoy them.

That's what I mean. I would hate to be waiting for a Fathom and they are shipping out Centaurs. As long as they are pumping out machines at a decent price. More competition is always better

7 months quiet thread!
So I really want a mermaid edition fathom, but too too late.
I decided to buy “The next one”
Any updates?

They have been pretty tight lipped. Best guess is Centaur or EBD. Technically the next one is the standard version of Fathom.

Mermaids have been shipping and they are not selling for inflated prices. I definitely would not say you are too late if you really want one.

I contacted Haggis, and Damien said he’d put me on the list for any potential mermaid order cancellations. I contacted a Pinsider that had a mermaid listed for sale, but no luck…

Centaur would be amazing.
