Quoted from Flare:

As recently as yesterday they were not, but my understanding is that the demand is significant, and that it won't be long if you don't reserve soon. It's interesting to think that they're more than likely going to sell out before Black Knight, or Wonka for that matter.

Maybe they will add another 100 like they did for Munsters LE!

Premium

#3103 4 years ago

Agreed. Pinside is a premium site. Thanks Robin!@

Quoted from jonesjb:

Wouldn't that require additional hardware to launch?

Sorry...I didn't explain the idea well. It would simply turn the center button into the left flipper button temporarily. I was not suggesting an actual canon mechanism be used. Just a corny idea...but would be a little extra fun for the smart missile feature.

I love it. Maybe have it always be optional and worth 2x a normal flipper shot? That way casuals would never be punished by a non-flip.

So excited to get this game! Keith is really showing he was a Valuable decision for Stern and not a one trick pony. I like the fresh newer look and feel he is contributing to games which is Awesome for Pinball!

Yes that's like Demolition Man where you earn more points by using the gun triggers instead of the flipper buttons.

They would need to flash the button so you'd know to use it.

The more I ponder, the more I think this would be the way to go. That wouldn't be completely unheard of...Demo Man did stuff like that where you got more points (in bonus??) by using the handles instead of the cabinet buttons. In this case, it would just be that one shot. It's already a doozy of a hurry-up with a nice build-up...the option to use an actual smart missile launch button for even bigger points would be pretty cool. Of course it looks like that shot is going to be a bear as it is...trying to use a differently oriented button to flip would really mess with your head!

edit: Spidey ninja'd me to the DM point while I was typing. Great minds think alike!

Hey Dave I am right there with you. I am going the LE route. There will still be plenty of MOD opportunities even for that one.
Which model did you sign up for?

A gotcha, I was thinking you meant something like the phantom flipper from Monster Bash or Thing flipper from Adams Family.

Well, the pro would provide the most opportunities for creating mods to be added.

Quoted from wesman:

I don't get it either. I was shocked no one posted photos prior to me getting there just before 2 yesterday.
Lines were steady on every game. Lots of younger people playing, 30'sish, but older people too. I figured a few pinsiders here and there, but this has been fairly barren for impressions.

My guess is most are too busy concentrating on the tournament to post impressions of the game.

I've been too busy playing anything I can get my hands on to write something up, but I find myself with some downtime after dinner.

Quick impressions for me are very good. I've probably put in about 10 games thus far. I'm still not 100% sure of what all I need to do, but I'm figuring it out.

The shots feel great, the art is good, and I love the animations. I think Stern really did a great job with this one, and everyone on the Stern JP team should be proud of what they made.

Shout out to Waison for being a real cool pinball dude.

Just saw the videos on differences between pro and Premium.

I think with JJP in the mix, it made Stern get more creative on their games and to their credit....they hit a Grand Slam. I think this game looks great and the play looks awesome.
Way to go Stern and Keith Elwin!

Your awesome Pickleric! For the name (my wife's All time favorite show) and making me laugh. lol Yes we opted for the LE partly to make mods but also cause its a Dam Awesome looking game!!! I don't have favorites (though POTC and Eric are amazing) but Stern is really firing on all cylinders lately in my view. For me I opt to go with the LE not due to dispensable cash but to evaluate if there are features (mods) we can consider offering Pro buyers that they might not be offered on the standard model. Most times the Pro is actually the best option and value. Just tough when they make a to cool gadget that influences buyers out of their comfort zone towards an LE etc to get that gadget. This game looks Really awesome and a huge hit with my kids and grandkids (granted they are 2!)

Can't agree more!!! Not sure if this is a Keith thing or a new Stern thing but I like the fact that game play and shot maps are virtually the Same for all levels with this title. Very smart choice to let the consumer decide. I'm not a fan of the SW, Mun, DP, BK, etc games that subtract playability features, ramps, or shots because they are a premium only offering. Take away toys sure no problem but don't handicap the fun of playing and shots for a profit. Glad to see this newer direction and hope it continues. Good for business, better for the consumer.

Cointaker has 2 LE's left if anyone is looking for a LE model. Please reach out to Melissa at Cointaker and she will get you squared away. I have always been extremely happy with their service.

Please be nice I was just letting those who want an LE find a nice home.

#3121 4 years ago

So with the pro the dinosaur doesn't move? But the premium/LE it does?

Is this correct?

Correct, the T-Rex is a static sculpt on the Pro.

Spoke to her on wed. And she didn't have any Le left

Now I'm worried...about you! Did you make this clip? I'm sending the orderlies. They will take you to your new "room." It has soft, mattress-covered walls and floor. A special jacket will be provided. (Think: Eddie) You will be safe there, but I think an expense or two will be spared.

So is the playfield art.

Saw this in the Flagship Tiffany’s in NYC... LE Topper for someone. Not me, but someone.

PF art is nicely done and conveys being at the Jurassic amusement park. It harkens to the original DE PF artwork, only improves upon it. Translites are strong, especially on the LE. Don’t know how much safer the artwork could have been done to please most people.

I think Nedry could have been left off the playfield. But then again, he's an integral part of the story and why all hell breaks loose in the first place.

That T-Rex nostril sure looks inviting to Johnny C's other art...

To be fair you have to have some major balls to have a name like “crap” especially as an artist! Those up close shots of the premium look fantastic though so he’s obviously got the talent to go with those balls

I know there is 2 available as of last night.
