No RGB leds in this game then?
I think the animations are going to make or break this one. Are they going to be Aerosmith cartoon-motion or App-like Iron Maide/BKSOR or is Stern going to up their game? Have to wait on streams to see for sure.
Quoted from Shapeshifter:No RGB leds in this game then?
Seems so... checked feature matrix.
Quoted from GrandFireball1:Anyone know who’s doing callouts??
ST had the best because of the orig actors. Unlike Walking Dead which could have been so much better with real voices.
Just curious how Elwin was able to convince Stern to put so much in the game when other designers seem to have to strip more and more stuff out.. maybe they saved all the money on the assets?
Quoted from valgalder:Just curious how Elwin was able to convince Stern to put so much in the game when other designers seem to have to strip more and more stuff out.. maybe they saved all the money on the assets?
It’s all how the designer shifts and allocates the BOM.

Paid Crap for art...sarcasm.

See any movie clips, voice samples or likenesses of anyone but Wayne Knight?
That's how.
So many choices in pinball today. Its a good time to be into Pinball for sure. Alot of diff machines for everyone.
Quoted from Crile1:Paid Crap for art...sarcasm.
I don't think these dudes get paid much, sadly. Franchi doesn't seem to, and I don't think these guys even get a game for their work.
Quoted from Sinestro:It’s all how the designer shifts and allocates the BOM.
I think some older than dirt designers are just turning into one trick ponies. The more Steve strips out of a game, the bigger and fatter his next gold watch will be.
I dont know if someone covered this already above, but I wonder why its Jurassic Park and not World since that's the current line of movies.
Quoted from wesman:I don't think these dudes get paid much, sadly. Franchi doesn't seem to, and I don't think these guys even get a game for their work.
This is my understanding as well. A lot of people would be shocked at the paltry amounts these guys get for some of their work.
Quoted from griffo84:Why is there a post at the tip of the upper flipper.. I cant stop looking at it.. IMO it shouldnt be there...
I think it's so that when the ball is coming around and you miss/don't flip it, the ball doesn't go immediately SDTM at high speeds.
Quoted from Shapeshifter:No RGB leds in this game then?
You can see the insert in the raptor area changing colors in the trailer. Also, looks like the main arrows are clear, and have rgb. Maybe it's just standard now, and not mentioned in the matrix.
Quoted from griffo84:Why is there a post at the tip of the upper flipper.. I cant stop looking at it.. IMO it shouldnt be there...

Stern can you build me a game without that post?
Isn’t that so you don’t fracture and eventually snap the flipper bat when you hit it directly?
Quoted from valgalder:Just curious how Elwin was able to convince Stern to put so much in the game when other designers seem to have to strip more and more stuff out.. maybe they saved all the money on the assets?
I'm wondering if the sales of Iron Maiden and how big of a hit it was with the community gave him a little more budget room to work with. Plus its definitely a theme that has a precedence because of the Data East game so the toys needed to be more than plastics.
Quoted from koops:Isn’t that so you don’t fracture and eventually snap the flipper bat when you hit it directly?
Im sure its not needed.. let me go look at other machines with a similar placed upper flipper
Quoted from JodyG:I think some older than dirt designers are just turning into one trick ponies. The more Steve strips out of a game, the bigger and fatter his next gold watch will be.
Nonsense.
Quoted from benheck:See any movie clips, voice samples or likenesses of anyone but Wayne Knight?
That's how.
Sooooo what happened with Black Knight oh wise one ?
Quoted from mnpinball:The Black Knight has been defeated.
Dead and buried. I said that as soon as I played one game at MGC. Other than the niche crowd who wanted Stern to complete the trilogy, no one was/is going to buy that game.
I'm not a very big Stern fan. Have always thought their games felt cheap and "tinny". But this one I'm excited about.
I think the motorized T-Rex is cool, but not $1,900 cool. It also doesn’t seem to act as a ball lock, as Groot does.
A very solid Pro.

I'm wondering if it's to keep the shot the same size all the time, regardless of if you have the flipper up or not.
Quoted from epthegeek:A new game has come out; therefore all other previously released games are dead/trash. Clearly.
it was a satirical portrayal on just how much further behind sterns competitors fell as a result of todays developments.
Quoted from CrazyLevi:Oh God yes look at this ball chomping and spitting action...so hot...[quoted image]
Can't wait for the dimple thread to show up on this one!

Imagine this interaction when you have someone over and they are playing your Pro:
Friend: That Trex is cool, but it just sits there! Would be cool if he like, ate the ball or something.
You:. Welllll, you see, um......
Quoted from greenhornet:it was a satirical portrayal on just how much further behind sterns competitors fell as a result of todays developments.
ACNC is every bit the quality of a modern Stern...and better coded than most. Stop trolling Spooky every chance you get.
Quoted from Wineinger09:T-Rex tossing the ball like that going to cause playfield damage?
Probably! Is it awesome and worth it? Definitely.
Quoted from CrazyLevi:Oh God yes look at this ball chomping and spitting action...so hot...[quoted image]
Say goodbye to those pop bumper caps...
Quoted from mnpinball:The Black Knight has been defeated.
You’ll have to play 1.00
Stern’s having an excellent year... except for Munsters.
Elvira will probably come out around Expo, so that’s 4 for this year. Likely Brian Eddy’s next game (TMNT?) will be another CES reveal.
Plus another JJP offering in December. Crazy good year for pinball

You will be replacing that flipper spring very often without that post there..
Quoted from Spyderturbo007:I'm wondering if it's to keep the shot the same size all the time, regardless of if you have the flipper up or not.
I'm all for staging the flipper to make that far right shot easier.. Maybe stern will answer this for me on the stream on monday...
Quoted from Zavadoza:You will be replacing that flipper spring very often without that post there..
So you think its an engineering thing?
Quoted from CrazyLevi:Oh God yes look at this ball chomping and spitting action...so hot...[quoted image]
Looks cool but the ball flying around could damage or break a plastic.
serious question: do you think the decision for posts instead of the slim stand up targets by ramps and upper flipper are by design or because of BOM?
Quoted from Skyemont:Looks cool but the ball flying around could damage or break a plastic.
I don't remember that being an issue on CV, or Aerosmith, or Houdini.
Will be interesting to see how consistent it is as far as where the ball goes.
Quoted from griffo84:I'm all for staging the flipper to make that far right shot easier.. Maybe stern will answer this for me on the stream on monday...
It’s to protect the flipper from hits to the end because it’s not great with impacts at that angle, as has been said before. Alien has the same thing by its exposed upper flipper.
Quoted from Skyemont:Looks cool but the ball flying around could damage or break a plastic.
Man, who cares? Buy $100 worth of replacements that will last a lifetime.
Wow awesome looking machine from Stern, fantastic work!
Artwork is nice and bright even better that what I was expecting from the low res pics.
looks to have some great shots and looking forward to some cool mods for this game.
So happy I ordered the JPLE.
A+
Only small hickup I can see is with the Raptor artwork being lost under the Jeep.
and waiting for Monday 7pm live gameplay
