Quoted from KnockerPTSD:

Or Beatles? Star Trek Vault?

Well he said Pro so Beatles doesn;t count.

#652 4 years ago

Hey delt you should mention pinbrowser a few more times. I think you are almost at double digits.

Can't see where it lists diff'rences in prem+

Yeah, I saw it earlier, but now the premium pic is missing...it mentions moving helicopter?? So I assume the trex and helicopter are 2 things, also was there a drop bank similar to afm on premium/Le?

#654 4 years ago
Quoted from Darscot:

We are just shooting the breeze and talking about the pin. They say opinions are like assholes for a reason. Why are people so damn shook over other peoples feelings on a pin.

This thread contains lots of “opinions”

#655 4 years ago

Can you guys slow down....trying to catch up on 500 new posts since I went to bed last night.

#656 4 years ago
Quoted from Coz:

Could be based on the new Netflix show

That would be pretty cool.

#657 4 years ago

Looks fun to me; def interested

#658 4 years ago

Oh dang. This does look good. Like that the T-Rex looks to be a secondary ramp that comes down to scoop up the ball. Also looks like he turns to spit it out into the wireframe.

Will want it, but being that it seems like even the rules are similar, I don't know that it'd be necessary to have two JP's. I'll probably still just keep mine, and play this one in public.

#659 4 years ago

I'm thinking it is too bad this wasn't Godzilla. I'm betting that will go all the way on the back burner now.

#660 4 years ago
Quoted from woody24:

I don't see that happening...JP rules are too ancient for today's games.
You'll have your CHAOS and shiz.

Any insight on how all those wire forms work? One to the right especially - corkscrew!! love that - very STTNG.
I'm pumped stern. Looking good.

Never seen so much wireform on a Stern game. Wireporn.

#662 4 years ago
Quoted from Coz:

Fixing up the Jeep with virtual mods is gonna be all the rage!! This will be sterns first pin with online connectivity and you’ll be able to have micro transactions to add virtual bling to your virtual ride!! Exciting times await...$5 for supercharger, $10 for big tires, $15 for racing stripes

LOL! Is the Jeep raised above the playfield? A monster truck rally in Jurassic Park? Who will be the first to sell a set of dirt mods for the game? Forget about magnets, imagine what piles of dirt / tire tracks on the map will do to ball travel.

#663 4 years ago

The pro model says static helicopter, one would assume the premium is not static thus moving in some way.

Quoted from Coz:

Thats the thing that looks like a physical ball lock on the right to me...?

Ah I didn't even see/read the Prem+ has up posts in the inlanes...doesn't excite me much so thats ok. <--EDIT: Sorry the pro DOES have an inlane up post.

#665 4 years ago

Actually I wonder if it’s like rescue 911 where there will be a magnet they grabs the ball still, the helicopter picks it up and drops it at the 3rd flipper. The trajectory makes sense for a mechanical device to be there.

Hmmm....Very fancy if that's true.
Right casue the copter is in the same location

Again just an idea... nothing I actually know

Quoted from cooked71:

No clips??? So we’ve gone to all this effort to replace DMD with Lcd and now going back to animations?
I know why they are doing it (licensing etc) but it would be such a shame if animations become a trend. When clips are done properly, like B66 and Hobbit, they’re gold.
The other thought is that many licensed properties probably wouldn’t allow animations either. Depends on the “DNA” of the license.
Seems the lcd part of pinball is merging more with the video game/app industry. Makes sense for a lot of reasons.

I see what you're saying. At first glance I just thought the blades look like the perfect spacing to fit balls in...no clue myself either

#670 4 years ago
Quoted from TheLaw:

I see what you mean...are those confirmed or could they be scoops/saucers and then a VUK to wireform?

Confirmed assuming the "Pro Features" image posted on TWIP's FB and linked here earlier is accurate and official, and I understand it correctly. It lists both of those as "1/2 pipe" ramps.

The game looks pretty nice to me.
But if you're looking for criticism, the instruction cards pictured on the apron don't seem very informative.

(Note: Only kidding about the cards shown on the apron. The close-up shot of the instruction card is nice.)

Quoted from PinKopf:

Yep thanks, I finally looked at that page

I'm down for Dino Perks...the more RPG-ish elements the better

I love Dinosaurs VS Monster Trucks.

#675 4 years ago
Quoted from Whysnow:

Other possibilities I have heard include
Godzilla
TMNT
BTTF
Stranger Things
I gotta say that I am just happy with all these rumors and that we are talking about themes that are not complete meh for me!

Have not heard the BTTF rumor, but very excited, since I've been wanting that since I first played the original Data East (stern) and like others disappointed.

Appears we'll have to wait 'till Thursday for official reveal

Quoted from HoakyPoaky:

Can someone state the name of the Lead Programmer on JP? I believe it's the same new guy that was the lead on Iron Maiden as well?
Iron Maiden has great rules & scoring, and from reading that JP rule card & studying the playfield, this game is going to give the player plenty of options on how to strategize & attack it. Capturing various dinos for special perks that last all game, building rescue streaks for different rewards & extra balls, build up jackpots shots, multiple different physical lock multiball modes, smart missile target rewards, 3 mini wizard & a final wizard mode. Looks like there's a lot to do on JP, kind of like a 90s pin. Sure beats the straightforward rinse & repeat, defeat this monster, defeat that monster, hit this lit ramp for the 200th time on BKSOR.
This guy is about to make my Stern short list (along with Lyman & Elwin) as the only people at Stern who gets my attention. What's his name?

Elwin is the one who should get the majority of credit for the rules on Iron Maiden. He basically tells the programmer(s) what he wants and they implement it. It will be the same for JP2. Takes a lot of talent to both design the PF and come up with the rules.

Ordering LE. Grandchildren will enjoy this one.

Quoted from Toppers:

Serious question, So we know people can change our audio files on stern games. Has anyone played with messing with the video files? Is it possible? Could make for an amazing custom code if possible.

This dude does an amazing job: https://www.facebook.com/pages/category/Local-Business/Pinball-MIX-1841127499277944/

Cheaper to use clips. Way, way easier and faster too.

Not every decision you don't like is because people are cheap.

Interesting that Kaneda makes the distinction that the Prem raptor pen has a dropgate in his description, but doesn't call out the moving TRex head as a Prem only feature when listing it... I hope that is in the Pro too.

On the Prem I see:
- sculpted/3d raptor figure (flat "butyrate" plastic/image on pro)
- magnet core looks to be visible inside raptor pen on Prem, not on Pro.
- some difference with the helicopter on the far right, can't tell what.

Anyone spot anything else?

#682 4 years ago

I'm hoping they hired Michael Knight for the call outs on this game as he seems to be the only human on the pf or at least the biggest by far. Games obviously gonna have a good sense of humor.

Based on how Stern describes the pro in the slide, the T-Rex doesn’t move in the pro.

It is odd that there's only one person on the playfield. Not odd, though, if it turns out Nedry is the main character in the game.

#687 4 years ago

I think the captive balls are attached to each other and the one below the truck is the 'center'.
Hitting the other one makes it position different and also pointing the truck in another position?

But I guess we can settle for Wayne....

Nedry's death:

He'd still be alive today if he had been driving a Monster Truck with a supercharger. Just sayin'!

Correct. Looks like a 2-bank on the raptor paddock gate that lowers.

June 2021 for Next Jurassic Movie.

#695 4 years ago

This is not doing it for me to be honest. We'll see how it plays soon enough, but I am not getting the holy crap this looks amazing feeling. I am probably in the minority on this though...

Same here. My one and only NIB purchase was an Ironman vault and hope to change that and get this game
