Hi All,

I've greatly appreciated all the pinball advice, wisdom, and ideas that are freely shared on the Pinside Forum. Today is the day I receive my first pinball machine, a beautifully restored Theatre of Magic. I have a few questions regarding what I should know and do when the game arrives.

- Other than the obvious common sense, is there anything I should know about the unboxing and placement of the game?
- I assume the game needs to be leveled (the floor is never perfectly even). I have a level. Do I just start back to front and unspool the feet, or is there a better method?
- What do I need to know about setup and initial use?
- What do I need to know about maintenance to keep the game in great shape? (The playfield has been restored and clear-coated which I believe affects the maintenance routine).

Please assume everything is being delivered in perfectly restored condition and I'm willing to put in the effort to keep it that way.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice!

Thanks for the great suggestions LTG and Toyguy. I think I have the game leveled well. Your thoughts on looking for items shaken loose were also spot on. The game got jostled a bit in shipping and there were some loose items.

I think moto-cat is right about needing someone to go over the game. Despite a beautiful restoration, there are some sticky places and non-working items (I believe due to a rough shipping ride). I'm located in midtown NYC.
