As a newbie especially,If I was buying a new stern now I would go with spiderman vault or metallica.Considering the op has younger children skipping metallica and going for spiderman vault would be the best choice at this point in my opinion.The family friendly theme plus the vault refinements making it the most reliable of the current offerings makes it a no brainer.
