I am switching out a flipper coil on bk2k to try and fix a slingshot issue..but
I ordered the coil from marcos, it corresponds with the same number as before. when I go to tighten in the coil stop plate its very hard to get the plate to line up. I even tried the old coil sleeve to see if the new was too long. On both the old and the new, I can get it to tighten, but as soon as I do the plunger won't plunge, it just sticks into the coil..
Its as though something is angled. I have removed it and tried it multiple times, and each time i start to get it tight the plunger locks up..there has to be something I am missing...and I have held the plunger in while tightening..
where is my mistake(s)

Does the plunger move freely on the coil sleeve ? Do you have a little bit of the coil sleeve sticking out through the hole in the bracket when attempting to fasten the coil stop ?

You have other flippers in the game, look them over to see if you spot anything different.

You aren't trying to put it back together with the coil sleeve facing the wrong direction are you ?

Where in the bay are you? Maybe a house call would help.

i even tried the coil sleeve the opposite way.. thought maybe my visual image is wrong.
when i have it in there not tight the plunger moves freely..
I checked the neighbor flipper looks the same..as best as I can tell
I had a tech out for stuff before, even watched him take a coil off on another game...maybe thats my next step
