What's funny, is if New Bumper did legally buy all WOZ orders/obligations with the business - even if that didn't include all the proper trust assets it should have - then perhaps they are now ultimately responsible for customers' missing paid funds (to the legal degree that they would have to refund everyone in full). Makes me wonder if New Bumper is going to have to do a quick "not bankruptcy" and sell themselves to themselves and become New New Bumper, minus $300,000 in liabilities. Sounds stupid and horribly illegal, but it also seems to be the way the Australian system is being described here...

Unlike many here I'm not a lawyer... but if it can be shown that there was a deliberate intent to mislead (ie. stating even casually that funds were in a trust account when they clearly were not), then can the former owners of Bumper be brought up on defrauding charges... or even sued civilly?

Also quite interesting, Noodlebox has been very careful in all his posts to never once reference a trust. You'd figure someone "not in the know" trying to defend Bumper wouldn't assumed there was one as everyone did, and used its existance in their defense.

Quoted from Noodlebox:

Jack took back the distributorship, lock, stock and one smoking empty shipping container.
Jack took it all.

Actually, the company with the JPP distributorship went bankrupt and shut down. Jack chose not to sign a new agreement with the "new" company. In light of recent information, this seems to have been a wise decision.
