Quoted from lilltlc:Unfortunately this project is dead. However, I was able to acquire one of the 2(?) machines. If you would like more photos of it or other information, I will try to help you out.
"Unfortunately it doesn't look like us riff raff will get to play this one soon " - If you are in So Cal, sure you can come check it out.
(Sorry about the thread necromancy, but I was going through all my previous thread that I'd been a part of in the past and hadn't gotten back into since I've somewhat returned to Pinside.)
This is fantastic that you were able to pick one of these up! It's such a rare treat to be able to buy a prototype game of any kind, let alone something so unique! Do you know what happened to the other one, or where it is?
I commented earlier in this thread after stv2049 did and I can't believe I never put two and two together! STV and his team on this game were the ones who came up with Rush2049, easily my favorite driving game ever, and perhaps my all-time favorite arcade game. I played the crap out of this game wherever I found it in arcades and was even lucky enough to play one of the very few Tournament Editions on location when they were testing it out back when it was new. I've owned a Rush2049 for the past 5 years or so and I never tire of playing it, as I imagined I wouldn't. I know he's active on the Rush2049 Discord from time to time, but I guess I never expected him to show up on a pinball forum, let alone Pinside.
STV, in case you ever happen to come back and see this:
Thank you for such an amazing game. It is so well done and so fully featured, so well executed, such a complete game. I know it's still considered one of the best driving games ever made, and I don't think that title will ever go away. I will always own at least one, hopefully more someday.
