Just joined and wanted to say hi.
Purchased my first machine - Whirlwind last weekend.
Waiting for it to be shopped and delivered next week.

Purchased some new Premium Ultra-Gloss Pinball from pinball life Novus 1, 2, and 3 - 8oz Bottle Of Each.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks

Welcome, man there are alot of new pinball people the last few months!!

As long as you don't buy any pins in my area you're cool with me haha...

Great game btw, very challenging....my suggestion is to get more pinballs...

Welcome to the addiction, just a heads up, Pins are like rabbits they multiply amazingly fast!!

LOL!! It is kind of a learn as you go thing...
Maybe some light bulbs or LEDs depending on which way you like it...Some extra white rubber rings, and flipper rubbers...
Just saying if this is your first game you will probably wear them flipper rubbers out pretty quick!!
Other than that, you will probably have to pick up other stuff as you go...

Again welcome...it is always good to see another afflicted pinhead join the herd!! LOL!!

Agreed, it helps everyone to know where you are from so if we are in the area we can come over and play your pins!

A digital multimeter and some basic soldering equipment is a good purchase if you don't already have those things. Extra bulbs is always a good thing to have around. I would wait on the LEDs until you get your machine.

Welcome to Pinside, and welcome to the hobby! Whirlwind is a good choice as a first pin. It's a super fun game, and System 11s are generally pretty reliable.

Great game, Welcome!

Welcome to Pinside BMore-Pinball. WW is a great game. As mentioned above, the dmm, extra lights and rubber are good things to have on hand. I would add fuses to that list. Some simple tools that will help maintain it are a switch adjuster, magnetic nut driver, and possibly a fuse puller. Hope you enjoy it and please post some pics for all of us when you have it set up.

Welcome! Whirlwind was my first pin when I got back into the hobby. It's a great pin that should give you hours and hours of entertainment. In addition to the other tips that the members have given you should pic up a quality carnauba hard paste wax. Depending on how much play your pin sees you'll want to clean and wax it accordingly. it's also a good idea to change the pinballs out once or twice a year, again depending on the amount of play it sees. oh ya, be sure and change the batteries once a year!

Welcome! Looks like you've made two great choices already, joining this forum and purchasing Whirlwind! Good luck

Thanks for the warm welcome and advice.
Is there any way to adjust thread settings in this forum so you get notified via email when a new post is made to a thread?

Love this site, but seems like the forum software is lacking.
thanks
