Shopping for a replacement for my digi controlled weller solder station. Anybody have experiences with the mid priced hakko?

    TIA

I have aouye. It's a ripoff of the hakko. Same thing but less expensive. Positive review here. Solder and does older station. I don't use it a whole lot though.

    Weller WES51 Analog Soldering Station

This is the one I have and like a great deal.

I don't get the digital display aspect of a soldering station, it seems like one more thing to break and being at an "exact" temperature does not matter for any of the board work I have done.

<<< Is not a Pro, but I have the Weller WESD51 which is the digital station of the guy above me. When I bought mine I never thought about the digital part ever breaking? So far so good though, it hasn't and I like the station a lot. Heats up really quick, I'm guessing here but less than a minute to get to 650
