No more hope for Game of Thrones then, Stern's only producing ancient licenses now. I guess that's one way to compete with Jack, ancient dusty licenses. Hoped he'd compete by blowing The Hobbit out of the water.

Maybe we can look forward to a laundry mangle game...or flint knapping. Or a game featuring the employ of adze and atlatl. Perhaps wizard mode will be discovering fire.

Maybe Gary saw Donald Trump's Tweet about the Caitlyn Jenner reality show plummeting in ratings and decided to bail.

Grown men in drag in WWE, grown men in drag in KISS, grown man in drag in RHPS, Gary's "dream pin"...maybe he laughed himself into some silken hose and garters.

The difference is that on the AMC show, the product placement is for Gerber knives (new Dodge in later seasons to be fair). On HBO shows, the product placement is for the new line of Porsche (Sopranos Season 6, Porsche paid far out the ass). There's something of a monied audience there.

HBO doesn't have any product placement to make from GoT so it's all marketing. Deadwood was cancelled because it was impossible to even sell old people unguents on it (Milch's words). Marketing money has to fill the void.
