Meeeoooww. I always thought she was the best cat woman. Halle Berry is pretty hard to beat too.

Quoted from OLDPINGUY:I had heard that distributors were getting VIP tickets based on Batman games ordered.
Suppose to be DK, new Art, some new toys, some changes, nothing super major, like a whole new game.
Think Spiderman, but in this case they are improving game play, code, and toys.....could be a winner!?
Believe I'd go for this one, ifthe playfield quality stuff gets sorted.......
Quoted from thundergod76:If this is not based on the 60's tv series I won't buy it.
It is. Clearly.
Quoted from Wickerman2:And people are already forgetting the GB play field issues....rinse repeat
Nope. I passed on an ST Premium yesterday. It was in current production and would have been available for shipment next week. The playfield issues were very fresh on my mind.
http://www.cnn.com/2016/08/18/entertainment/adam-west-burt-ward-batman-movie/
Looks like there's a new animated movie coming out with Adam West and Burt Ward coming October 11. Will there be a pin reveal at the sam time?
The real problem
Here is the lack of communication by stern on where they stand on fixing these clear coat problems. They should be stopping production until these issues are fixed. Who wants to put any faith in there product especially when they haven't even publicly acknowledged that there is an issue they are working to fix. I am totally willing to wait but just to keep sending out obviously bad playfields is just poor business practice and they will lose a lot of loyal customers that way. I really want a batman but am unwilling to gamble at this point for another 6-7 k to end up with a bad playfield
Quoted from venom112:I really want a batman
How do you know that until you actually see the game? The layout could be a disaster or the greatest ever.
Quoted from Stones:just save some artwork for Catwoman please......
Quoted from Tuna_Delight:Coincidentally, Julie Newmar's birthday was this past week. A mere 83 years old.
She looks great for her age then. Nice to see the costume still fits. She must have been a knockout when she was 22.
Quoted from Wickerman2:And people are already forgetting the GB play field issues....rinse repeat
I haven't forgotten.
However, when Stern announces a satisfactory resolution, I am buying GB Premium and Batman 66.
stern should treat us like the casinos treat their whales. i mean its the same thing right? gambling with some big bucks.
Quoted from Gov:So are people really willing to pay $7k-ish for an updated BDK? Not the most fun layout out there. Sure new code would help, but I am not sure how much. Of course if it looks good that will help. Many people were all gung-ho SMVE until the price dropped and then most passed.
It is supposedly an original layout.
Quoted from o-din:I was hoping it would be themed after the original Batman.
Interesting costume on Batman. What is that - the bat diaper?
Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:She looks great for her age then. Nice to see the costume still fits. She must have been a knockout when she was 22.
Quoted from Rarehero:It is. Clearly.
It seems to me it's clearly based off the new Batman 66 material, which is of course a homage to the original show. I guess it depends on if that's what you mean when you want something from the original show or not. I wouldn't expect anything actually from the live action TV show to appear.
Quoted from o-din:I was hoping it would be themed after the original Batman.
Put me down for a bitch tits LE.
edit: I hope Stern already recorded Robin's voicework. I think the actor who played him died a few months back.

Clearly, one of you is wrong.

I absolutely expect footage & audio from the show to appear. What better way to showcase that new color LCD than to put tons of colorful show footage on it!
Place your bets, but I guarantee this is the TV show license & will have the music, clips & footage of the show + custom Adam West callouts (and maybe Burt Ward and others)

The LE is 10k and is super special

Burt Ward; 71 and still kicking.

Really hope this is true. It took decades to iron out all the legalities and bring the series to dvd. Not to mention the flood of tv show merchandise in recent years. If they can make slot machines based on the show they sure can do a pin. IMO the fans want a pin based on the tv show. If Stern delivers anything else it will be a major disappointment.
Quoted from thundergod76:fans want a pin based on the tv show.
Absolutely. The only way this would be a hit for me is if it has callouts and clips from the "in color" TV series Batman, and an LCD.
I'm sure Jody has told Rare what's coming so I believe it.
Seeing a pic of the LCD and back box quite a while ago I thinks it's going to be pretty damn cool.
Placement is just right. Speakers will be bigger and better as well. GBLE sound is great now!
Quoted from Tuna_Delight:Burt Ward; 71 and still kicking.
I meant Johnny Duncan. It was in response to Odin's post about original Batman serial.

My vote is the game is based on the comic or the new animated movie. I would imagine their would be less legalities. I really don't have a preference which one it's based on though.
I just really hope that if there really is just a premium model.
That Stern isn't just trying to upsell a pro with a color display.
It better be full featured like say ST
premium. GOT Or GB premium Etc.
And not just dressed up with color armor and the new display.
It should have interactive color changing G.I. and inserts for the villains.
Magnets and at least 1 super cool motion toy.
Wire forms and not plastic ramps.
Although with sterns continued cost cutting track record I'm not holding my breath for something spectacular.
My guess is bat armor and a color display with a bare bones playfield. Stock leds. With one magnet and a bash toy. And plastic ramps.
I hope I'm wrong and it's great. Because I actually want this title if it's done right.

You're assuming a new a game. A re-skin of Batman:DK is going to have dots. New dots, but dots.
Aerosmith may still be the first Stern game with the LCD screen.

I hope you are wrong. It is time for the death of Dots.

I'm not predicting....just seems there are as many people adamanet that it's a re-skin on Pinside.
I am more than happy to be done with dots.

Even if it was - dots are gone, baby.

Take my money now
Lol hilarious but so true that's how soon we all seem to forget. This hobby is so addicting
Quoted from DCFAN:I hope you are wrong. It is time for the death of Dots.
Oh, come on. Dots are like 8 bit pixel art and have a charm to them. I think color dots still have a place. It would be nice to have the ability to give different filters to the screen.

Licensing to get the Adam West Batman show released on dvd was a huge pain according to the story at Wired. Hopefully Stern was able to overcome those issues.
http://www.wired.com/2014/11/batman-home-video-finally/
Aw, I like the dots. The best B/W DMD animations were comedy art. A full HD screen is going to present an entire new world of design problems and possibilities, which I hope Stern doesn't halfass.
Quoted from robotron:look at us all drooling over this after the gb playfield disaster. smh
pinheads
I think people are assuming the problems will be fixed. Obviously they have to get fixed, as Stern can't continue to shop defective playfields forever.

i am guilty of of this also. just crazy, this addicting hobby.
