So I'm relatively new to owning a pin and after playing just a short time with the glass off to adjust an outlane plastic, I have a total new respect for the manufacturers of these devices.

To the casual player with the glass on, I think most people have no idea of the Force and speed (and volume of sound) generated inside these games.

I actually think it's impressive that they tend to last as long as they do with relatively minor breakage.

I think I read pinballs can reach speeds of 90 miles per hour in some games!

While I'm sure people here are well aware of the violent kinetic forces at play, from a newbie's perspective, the more I learn about these games (and their maintenance - having done my first complete flipper rebuild) the more impressed and enamored I become. And I can totally see why even youngsters completely raised on electronic games would find these physical machines very appealing.

My only regret is not having more space for additional pins.
