    Hi Pinside

I have new Bally / Stern replacement Lamp Driver boards for sale. It works and fits just like the original lamp drivers but adds LED lamp support. A 0.100" kk molex connector labeled J5 gets connected to the switched illumination bus (feature lamps positive connection) when the loading resistors(RL designations) are installed. This adds support for LED lamps so they do not flicker. If the RL resistors are installed, J5 must be connected to the switched illumination bus or a ground return leak through multiple resistors will happen.

Fully assembled Lamp Driver Boards are available in limited quantities for $90 shipped in the USA. Includes the J5 harness.

If you like a DIY project, blank PCBs are available for $15 + $3 to ship. You would need to source out the parts and assemble the board yourself. Part costs should be around $15. Tayda for the SCRs, connectors, and passives. Futurlec has the decoders ICs for $0.85 ea.

The PCB has multiple package options for many components. The 4514 decoder can be SO24 or DIP24 package. Most resistors have SIP network, DIP16 array or discreet options. See the BOM here

Nice little project. Thanks Andrew barakandl
So much better working on a new board instead of redoing an existing one! Plus has the LED support.
Anybody else have to make sure all the resistors face the same direction when they do a build?
    Eric

Nice work! I get OCD about the resistor orientation too =D. Consistency!.
