Here's an update on Party Zone. These ramps have created more problems than I expected. It's a tough fit to incorporate the thicker material. I have been through 3 test, fit then retry rounds. Two of the ramps are done. The left ramp still needs some changes. Decals and flaps have been on order for several weeks. Hoping I can finish this by Xmas.

You wanted a teaser, here it is. One off set has been fitted. It is tight because the ramps are much thicker. They were made on a female mold so the tabs are way thicker. So thick, you may need longer screws at some attachment points. Need to now run 150 sets so everyone will be able to get one. Also waiting on the decals and flap for the upper left ramp. 2-4 weeks. Yeah.

That teaser has joined my Christmas list. They look very nice! Hoping our vendor booths can cross paths in 2021, Larry, but I won't be waiting for that to secure one of the 150.

For those of you who don't know Rob, his WPC daughterboard is a gift from God. It allows you to fix your 5 volt rail forever without having to replace any 5 volt original parts. I highly recommend it. Miss seeing you too, Rob.

I have 2 more projects in the queue. NBA Fasbreak right ramp will be done next and I am looking at the feasibility of doing the topper for Pinbot.

What’s a realistic timeline for the NBAFB right ramp ? Will it be sold separate or bundled like the other 2 ramps?
The right ramp will be sold separately. I depend on other people to complete these projects so I never have a good handle on when.

Hi everyone. Finally. Party Zone ramps are up on the website, starship-fantasy.com. You may order them now but nothing will ship till Monday. When we release new ramps we normally get slammed and it may take us a day or 2 to ship all of them. No hurry. I made 150 sets.

Has anyone installed their PZ ramps?
I get a lot of requests for Party Zone, and I have been sending them your way. These look like a pretty difficult ramp to make...nice work!
Thanks Jody. I made them female tools which always creates problems but the tabs are probably 10 times thicker than original.

Excuse me for chiming in here Larry....
Although the DE Time Machine was a very low production machine, there have been a lot of requests for this one. Ramps vary in difficulty to reproduce. As you've seen posted photos of original molds, most were made out of aluminum for strength and durability. The Time Machine ramp has some very narrow areas between the lanes which necessitates that this ramp be formed on a female mold. Those narrow partitions on the mold must be incredibly strong to handle the rigors of vacuum forming. Reproduction molds made today are generally made with either cast resins or perhaps ceramics. While these materials generally work well for most formings, ramps like the Time Machine and also to a somewhat lesser degree TMNT present difficult challenges. Making a mold out of aluminum these days is simply cost prohibitive.
That doesn't mean it's not possible that this can be reproduced....just going to be hard!
Chime in anytime. I appreciate the input from both you and Jody. I appreciate all you do for the pinball community. Time Machine is a definite no. Mountain is a maybe but no time soon.
The Space Shuttle clear ramps are gone. Eventually, I will run more but not till the black ramps are gone, a long time.

Exactly why I didn't wait to get the PZ ramps - miss out on the 150 sets made and there may not be another opportunity. The ramp makers seem to have no shortage of "needed ramps" so it's entirely understandable why re-runs aren't the focus.

Hi Rob. I will almost always do another run when products are out. The exception is when there is a special run of products that are not already on the website. That was the case with the clear ramps for Space Shuttle. When PZ is gone, I'll do another run.

I see quite a few people say that will buy TWO ramps when/ if they are available. I sure hope that if thats true, they get the doubles after everyone who needs one, gets one.
