Corvette ramps please!!!!

#552 1 year ago

I really wish your website was of a better design. If you have to explain how to find stuff on the site (as you do on the main page) I think it merits consideration for a different approach/re-design....

I say this not to troll, but rather because I appreciate the products you are offering here but your website was...maddening.

I agree with your comments on the website. The original designer refuses to work on it anymore. I have on my list to develop a new website but just can't seem to find the time to work on it. Your comments are welcome and I appreciate your time taken to comment.

I'm done test fitting the right ramp for NBA. Should be only a month or so to run them and get them up for sale.

#555 1 year ago

Corvette update. Just pulled the skid and right ramp. Getting parts and decals is a bitch right now. Prices of stainless have doubled and my subcontractors have lead times of 1 to 2 months. Still moving forward.

Cost?

#557 1 year ago

I don't know cost till it's all done but it is going to be one of the most expensive ramps I have ever made. Large amount of riveted parts and decals.

Update. I have hired a new additional person. It will take several months to train him and then I am hoping he can focus on new titles. Here is my intent on new ramps.
NBA Fastbreak right (should be done soon).
Corvette-other 2 ramps
Hurricane
Maybe BSD. This would be an expensive and difficult title.
Maybe Who Dunnit

Please let me know if and when you do a set of BSD as I require a set.
Thankyou

One more excited Who Dunnit owner here!

#560 1 year ago

BSD no matter the cost

Did I miss something? Is he doing a Who Dunnit ramp?

Update.... just saw it. Great news!

I re-did all the rivets on the entire NBA ramp set and it's around 55 rivets. The right ramp alone accounts for about half or more of that.

So yeah, I'd expect this to be possibly the most expensive ramp in the store.

NBAFB right ramp sold separately to the other 2 or can buy as a kit ?

#565 1 year ago

Will you be at the Chicago Pinball Expo?

Have you reconsidered making Fire! plastic buildings? A lot of people (including myself) would buy them if they get reproduced.

#568 1 year ago

No time soon, sorry.

I could have missed it, if previously mentioned so apologies, just wanted to ask, is there a chance ramps for Goldeneye could be remade? Specifically the center lock ramp as that’s been unobtainable for years. Thanks

#570 1 year ago

That job is more suited for Jody or Mark.

#571 1 year ago

How are the Corvette ramps going ?

#572 1 year ago

They are ready to run but I still need to order decals and metal. Backlog times are 4-6 weeks.

#573 1 year ago

Awesome, thanks Larry

Given the gigantic boxes required for ramps due to the excellent packaging is there any incentive at all in ordering multiple sets simultaneously? Looks like $40 for bad cats / $60 for taxi and $100 together, but I'm not sure it makes things any easier on you to ship two sets in one shipment so I wouldn't expect any break on shipping. I just wanted to confirm before opting for just bad cats for now. Are my assumptions accurate?

Again thanks for all you do, I'm excited to add a few new SF products to my collection!

#575 1 year ago

If you order 2 sets, the shipping will be less than $100 and you will get a refund of the difference.

#576 1 year ago

The right NBA Fastbreak ramp should be available late next week. I'll let yu know here when done.

#577 1 year ago

Just ordered Police Force ramps. Can't wait to get them (but I have to, until Thursday )

Just got my new Cyclone ramp set and they're awesome but having some issues getting the comet ramp to sit right. I figured out it's hitting the pop bumper cap and the only way I can get it to sit is to remove it. Am I installing it incorrectly or has anyone else had this issue? The clearance on mine seems really tight.

Been a couple years since anyone has asked any possibility of making the Fire! buildings?

don't believe anyone has remade them in the last 15 yrs, have they? never understood why, theres a ton of fire pinball machines out there, and most are broken.

just cut edge of pop bumper cap off if it won't fit. they also they have half pop bumper caps, like on whirlwind.

TAF also has one pop bumper cap which is cut by design.

No one has mentioned that before. I would like input from others.

So does Mando.

#584 1 year ago

I can tell you why I'm not thrilled to do them. All the buildings would have to be made at once so I would have to sell them as a set. The cost to do the decals would be astronomical both to sell and bring to market. If I made individual tools, that would make the price even greater I am afraid the retail price would be so high that most would say FU.

#586 1 year ago

Got my police force ramps today and they are beautiful! Thanks for making them available.

After giving the ramps a couple days to acclimate inside the playfield I removed them, fiddled around for a while with fitment and was able to get them working without having to cut the bumper cap. I think they just needed some time to settle in and become more pliable (after having been cold from the shipping travel). So all is good now, thanks for the suggestions everyone.

I am happy to announce the availability of the right ramp for NBA Fastbreak. I am not as happy to announce the price, $372. The large amount of attachments plus decals has made this ramp expensive.

Expensive ramp is better than broke or missing ramp. Thank you for what you do!

Could you offer ramp as a blank

#591 1 year ago
Quoted from john17a:

Could you offer ramp as a blank

Which ramp?

#592 1 year ago

I could offer it as a blank but I won't. I decided long ago that it was more important to get all the parts that need riveting along with the ramp, so the majority of pinheads who can't rivet will have a drop in ramp. I now make over 130 parts and there is no way I can double that number, Not only would it double my skews but it would irritate all 20 of my distributors. I know you;re only asking about one ramp but then someone will ask about the hardware and not the flaps and then someone else would want the flaps and not the hardware. Someone would ask about the same thing with Fish Tales. I would have to hire another full time employee and that would probably add 20% to the price of all the ramps. I just chose to not do that because the cost of ramps is high enough already.

I have a NOS, bare right ramp for NBAFB.

FYI. I'm going to do a run of the coffin cover for EATPM.

And before anyone mentions it, I know I had mentioned doing this and made a couple for testing, but Larry and I agreed to just have him do it since he already does the ramps. We try to make sure we don't duplicate each other's work so more different ramps get made.

Here is a list of tools where we have not been able to identify the game. Before I hunt through hundreds of tools to take pictures of them, I thought I would try this first. Can anyone cross the numbers? All help is appreciated.

Looking forward to Who Dunnit ramps in the future. Thanks!
