Quoted from 85vett:Ah SOB!!! I just spent $300 swapping all my games over to clear rubbers. I'll have to try some of these out to see if it's worth swapping some over again. Those larger ones turned white when stretched so those may be the first ones to try out.
Any chances you will be making these too? The ones that go at the end of a ramp.

For the time being I put mylar stickers over all black posts like this
in my games to contain the wear down and spray or rubber from them...

I throw mylar stickers on these things to stop some of the powder it sprays on the games when they get hit.
I straight up ran out of the rings ordered/received
that I ended up using on my games and my clients games.
Holding up and playing just fine so far.
Sorry to not take photos, worked on a customer's Cyclone last week,
I had just the right sized glow in the dark rings for the left side and bottom right and they looked great!
It didn't take long for them to charge up a little to show the customer how they worked.
The customer was there the whole time while I was working on the game,
basically ya don't know who to trust with a car or pinball machine he said,
makes sense, so I didn't photograph, will next time there though.
Did some rings on a customer's Gilligan's Island...

Quoted from Crash:I have never seen a case where 2" is fit for slingshots.
Correct, it's just common sense to not even try that to me...
Quoted from Hougie:I broke my first silicone ring today.
The game has been in the garage since this summer and just recently has seen a ton of plays. Does rapid temp change have any effect on silicone? I know it's not good for the rest of the game by the way12091_(resized).jpeg
Temperature/moisture/lack of moisture all effect all types of rings.
Quoted from Crash:Addams Family flippers in red on location.

Pro Tip: Get a real cheap knock off dremel tool (like harbor freight)
and with the cone shaped bit lightly file off the old rubber left on flipper bats
prior to any new ring install. It cleans off quickly and looks good instantly.
Quoted from markmon:This can also be cleaned off entirely non abrasively with simple green and 5 minutes of scrubbing.
"entirely" = an absolute stretch of the truth when you're doing this on older games that have been heavy routed (like most 90s games)
and the rubber has solidified on the bat.
Also, yes, you can buy new flipper bats, but why do so when not required?
Quoted from TomGWI:Or 2 minutes with Goo Gone.
Debatable
But yeah,
I'd loooove to see a video of simple green or goo gone "entirely" removing rubber from a bat
on a game that is 20 years old and routed.
Quoted from Titan_Pinball:We need play testers!
I am experimenting with a new type of flipper ring and I need to put them through some torture tests.
These rings are a little thinner than our standard rings, with slightly less bounce.
(We are NOT replacing our existing flipper rings, just adding another option)
I'd really like to try these on location and see how they hold up.
I have 15 sets of black and 15 sets of red.
If you are interested in trying these out, send me a PM with your name and address.
Thank you,
-Matt
I'm always up for testing!
I don't remember if I ever posted this, but here's footage of glow in the dark flipper rings under black lights...
I'm doing a Medusa in Titans soon and finishing up my Godzilla in black and glow in the darks soon as well.

Quoted from HighProtein:I got a coupon error with TITAN17BF today.
A.ka... user error, doh!
Quoted from Dr-Willy:Did my IMDN last night in Titan and mirror blades.
Not only does this look slick as heck but I bet the bounce and response of the balls are really more dynamic and even more fun!
