    0616212043 (resized).jpgHello Pinside
I wanted to start my own post for my new product Color Guard Protectors. My name is Joe Kace and I was the former owner of Laseriffic. As some of you know I had a heart attack some years back and had to step back from basically everything. I have taken some time to heal myself and as of today I'm doing really really well. I went to Pinfest this last weekend and it was great to see everyone again..I have missed the friendships I made over the years, it was cool to catch up with everyone.
My new product is called Color Guard Protectors. I have always wanted to make these but never did. These are made out of .060 translucent PETG. Now I will say that it doesn't emit the same glow as those fluorescent protectors, but they do give off a subtle glow. The other great characteristic of this material is that its flexible were acrylic is not making it stronger to take direct ball hits. The thin size also allows it to be placed anywhere with no extra hardware needed to fit and goes almost unnoticeable. As for degrading the graphics on plastics, its just like the acrylic. The color of your leds does have an effect on them
We have made 6 colors of this material
Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red and Purple
We have been testing many machines and I have a good selec3etion right now and will be adding more weekly. The following distributors are carrying my products and I also have an Etsy store to sell direct.
    Colorguardprotectors is the store name.

    Cointakers
    Pinball Life
    Marco Specialties
    Tilt Graphics
    Mezel Mods
    Planetary Pinball
If anyone wants any plastics cut that I don't currently produce I am happy to work with you individually.
Thanks for reading and I hope you give this product a chance.

    Joe

    Hey Joe!
    Great to see you back.
I don't think I have seen you in person since I bought my Pinbot from you YEARS ago.
    I still love that game!

    New stuff looks great!
The solid steel washers on the slingshot plastics on new Stern games look terrible. The color translucent washers should be much better.

Just bought a set for JP from your Etsy store.

    Look forward to getting them!

    #4 54 days ago

The look of these is amazing!

They are a high grade material with great optics!

Wishing nothing but success to Joe and distributors!

Thanks Joe! I’ll be placing an order!

    #23 26 days ago

Holy moly. You literally within 5 hours from the original request for houdini plastics to you responding you needed a scan of them 2 hours later to literally building them in one hour and putting them on your site. That is beyond incredible for a turn around time.
    bravo.

    Hi Mike,
My business model is and always has been "Customer Service". I enjoy what Im doing and also trying to build a small business from scratch. When I owned Laseriffic I feel I built that business on that quality.
    I appreciate you noticing this.
    Thank you
    Joe

Willy Wonka 10 piece set going out for testing. We all also beefed up the tuning fork looking plastic to help from breaking

I was just about to ask if you have a set for Willy Wonka. This is crazy. I have 3 soon to be 4 total games. You make sets for 3 of them. This in itself is just as crazy to me.
I may not have a choice at this point but to buy all 3 sets.
I like those little colored disks but have no idea what colors and how many I would need. At .64 I cant't just buy multiple of each to find out though. Just for under the posts I'm guessing?

Yes the washers are for places that protectors can't go. Some also like to use these instead of full protectors

Hey, they all look great but just curious, the overlap (UNDERlap?) from the plastics seems pretty tight, looks like 1/8th or 1/16th.
Do they extend the same distance from all plastics, or maybe more in high-impact areas?

I make the edges a bit over 1/16th. PETG is very strong and can take those direct ball hits that would normally break a plastic.
