Quoted from rommy:Their price point is superior to their competition. Their competition cannot match their price point under any circumstances. (The Stern Pro maybe? if prices were to stabilize) Until there is competition at their price point they will play alone.
I have seen a lot of posts like this saying how superior the price point is for Predator. I'm not saying it's bad. But it is not like you can't get some great games for $5K
For example, a brand new Tron which I think is a top game, it's probably a solid A-list or high B-list game. Costs about the same as Predator. I'm not trying to be down, but pointing out that for the cost of Predator, we could get NIB Tron for example.
I am not really happy about the art work of Predator. It sounds like most people think it's great. I'm not so sure. I mean, as we can see the hands are an issue are well as the shoulder and and just think the whole idea of a line up of various characters just plop them down together. Not like a scene from the movie, just a clump of characters from the movie to me seems a bit uninspired.
I know we get on Stern for pasting a group of X-Men or whatever on the cabinet, or Avengers characters. But this line-up of Predator characters is not much better. And to me, the art (comic) interpretation, is less than I would care for, I'd rather have photo realistic art than this square jaw comic art.
I do really like the Skit-B crew and think the rules or the log-on system is very neat. I am reserving final judgment until I see a complete pin. But the art it's not to my liking.
