Quoted from SkitBPinball:Oh, and it should be noted that the game brought in about $4 in coin drop, even on free play
HAHA! That's my favorite part of the story! "The machine looks so good you just want to give it money, even if it's free!"
I purposely stray away from the Predator thread for a few days at a time and then always come back to find a gem or two. Fantastic! I like what i'm hearing so far!
Quoted from Concretehardt:How about an "Evil Dead" Pinball
I would be ALL OVER THIS!
In fact, I think it would be awesome if SkitB became the "dark horse" of pinball manufacturers and started making all the "Rated R" pins....
Blood / Action / Swearing / Skanky Chicks... (not necessarily in that order, lol)
That way people can have a WoZ if they're concerned about "family friendly" and then us other guys who want titles that might not be as "PG" have options
Quoted from Pdxmonkey:YES the pg 13 action/superhero theme is played out!
We need a pinball machine with balls!
Well obviously these guys aren't afraid of not having "balls" from the artwork and voice clips I've heard thus far on Predator, which is why I think they'd be the perfect candidate to make more "mature" games
Put me on the flipside. I want all the bells and whistles Include an actual "interactive" topper, hehe.
P.S. Awesome Duck Hunt Game!
The predator head above on a little rotating motor that goes back and forth firing the laser on and off.... Hmmm.... Awesome
Quoted from jonnyo:I see you're from England.
In America, it is against the law to save money.
He's right. Here in the states we simply rack up as much debt on Credit as possible and then simply walk away and wait for uncle sam to pick up the tab and then sell our debt to other countries. Good times.
(and for those of you who missed it, sarcasm)
Quoted from oopsallberrys:the blood on the skull on the playfield looks fine in person.
MmMmMMMmm.... Jam.....
Since Predator is already sold out I would think getting press about it (therefore enticing more sales they can't fulfill) would NOT be a good thing actually.
Selling a one off Duck-Hunt game on a site that is famous for overpriced super RETAIL pricing to help bring an influx of cash to Skit-b IS a good thing
Quoted from Concretehardt:I wonder if the team has set up at the NW Pinball show yet?
They sure have
Quoted from Concretehardt:Holy smokes FT! Are you there? Post more pics please
No. My buddy is though and he sent me that teaser
Quoted from Nibbles:Lulz, "why da game no finished fully. Only bring 100% completed games to shows".... F$@&
Stern would never have any pins at shows then
Oh and Roc-Noc you were my voice of reason (or insanity). I just paid the full tab to the fellas.
Bring on the god damn ponies!
Quoted from BackAlleyMatt:Forgot to resize it, let's try that again
One of those is mine!
Quoted from luvthatapex2:Technically the claw sits on the diverter that grabs the ball, no? It didn't look like the claw would be in contact with the ball at any time. Correct me if I'm wrong.
That's the way I see it, kind of a diverter "topper"
Quoted from herbertbsharp:Did you get your $250 back?
We probably would have heard about it if he didn't.
Besides, my guess would be that he dropped out even before they asked for a deposit.
Quoted from SkitBPinball:I remember Butterbean from one of the Jackass movies...
That's where I know him from too...
Quoted from MagicMako:I think you saw it on page 32 and like 74, it comes around every 30 pages or so.
Haha. Really?? To daunting to go look for it but I definitely saw it on a different site. Thanks for the heads up though
Quoted from SkitBPinball:Just programmers' hours. Meth probably wouldn't be a bad idea, though, now that you mention it.
Naw, you're a programmer, stick with Coke
Quoted from vster23:This might make a good topper. Although it is pretty heavy and would need to be securely mounted.
I could see this thing falling off and stabbing me. This could end badly...
Quoted from MagicMako:Thank you! I think WhySnow is planning on doing this too?
Me Three
Quoted from Whysnow:I will not be there till late on thursday, but plan to upload at bedtime (assuming internet connection is good at hotel).
I'll be uploading on the fly from my phone. I arrive tomorrow morning.
Lol. Ditto to all the above posters. Predator is not in the building yet. Trust me, we're all stalking Matt Reister and asking
I must agree, I loved the look of the cabinet in person and the red trim really "completed it" for me. However, that being said, regrettably I have opted out of this project. I think Kevin and his team will continue to do great custom stuff in the future but for me personally right now I have other things I would like to pursue with the money that was originally dedicated to this game. And before anyone asks, no, it's not to fund an MM (since I can see some troll saying that, lol). As soon as Kevin issues the refund then #69 will be available again. Go get it fellas! Best of luck to Skit B and everyone in on this project!
Quoted from Whysnow:Can I switch my number to 69 please.
Quoted from DrStarkweather:I think #69 was A LOT of our first requests.
Hehe, you guys are too funny. I'm sure my number will find a good home, however as of now I haven't heard back from Kevin yet on my refund so for the time being I guess it's still mine.
Muahhahahahaha (in my best evil genius laugh possible)
The bidding shall start at Eleventy Dollars!
Kevin explained the holes at expo. Essentially it's just a cad oversight in the way the plastics layer. It automatically put a hole in the plastic where there is screw beneath it in the Playfield (for access). They won't be like that in production unless there's a reason over a screw...
Quoted from Whysnow:4750... Is what it has always been as far as i know...
Ya. $250 Deposit + $4500 at time of shipping (or pre-pay for bonuses)
Quoted from Russo121:Didn't they say somewhere in this thread it was $5000? OR am I dreaming?
You might be dreaming that you just found a pinball that's not 8k LE NIB
Quoted from IdahoRealtor:I must say that was a very nice video update. Any regrets for dumping #69?
Kinda, but my other 18 pins can keep me company for now
Quoted from navajas:Oh yeah, and, seriously, where's Anna?
In the comment above Flashing
Quoted from jonnyo:I'm shopping for lasers right now. Does anyone know the difference between a milliwatt and a megawatt?
You need at least 1.21 Gigawatts
Quoted from rai:Kevin thanks for giving us such a detailed overview, sounds great, what does 'HUD' mean?
Heads Up Display
Quoted from Whysnow:Kevin, please confirm that 250 is ALL that will ever be made of Predator...
Until the remake. Then it will be a Pred-LE with eleventy billion units! Reserve now!
Quoted from pinballnut3:Amazing integrity. Wonder if we can get Ben Heck on record too.
Wish I would asked Jack this.
Ben Heck on record for what?? Spooky Pinball / Americas Most Haunted is unlimited and he's not involved with Zombie Adventureland anymore
Quoted from spfxted:What happened there?
Nothing much. Just went different directions with different games from what I understand.
Quoted from MagicMako:anybody have a good "thread derailed" gif?
Edit: I actually think this one is more relevant to this thread
