I got mine, though I only received it this morning (I actually received the e-mail twice)

I am all for the new playfield tech.

Quoted from SkitBPinball:

To derail this thread a little further, some of you had expressed some interest in the venue we regularly patronize here in Michigan, and they finally have a list on their website of the pins available (which is actually slightly outdated already this weekend).

That's quite the selection of games. Color me jealous.

Pacific Pinball Expo: 2013

Would love to see you guys on the west coast, however I thought this year's PPE was the last.

Quoted from loren3233:

You are correct Sir but 2012 was the last, no plans for one this year....there is always Pinagogo in mid May (weekend after Mothers Day) looks like that may be tough due to Allentown.

Sorry. When I said 'this year' was the last, I meant 2012. I guess I still haven't caught up to the fact we are in 2013.

California Extreme is always a possibility in July. Though it is not pinball dedicated, it includes arcades.

Quoted from Whysnow:

2nd pin will be Fraggle Rock

I actually think that could be an awesome pinball. You would have a lot of different elements to work with. I could totally see a dozers ramp.

Quoted from musketd:

What happened to the April 1st mega update that Kevin said about?

It was never said to be April 1st. It was always said to be in April. They are still on track for end of April as said in Kevin's last update here.

Quoted from navajas:

I propose a moratorium on this thread until SkitB shows up with their huge update starting right after I click...

At this point I would hope that they just start a new thread with the big update.

I love the art, however I am still very confused about the placement of some of the key artwork. Isn't the predator right where the slingshot and lane guides will be? I will hold judgment till it is done but I think it will look very weird if they just have the slingshot plastic mimicking the playfield artwork, because everyone's perspective when playing is different so there is no way the artwork between the two would line up.

Question regarding the 'payment options' email:

You say that for 4500 that the machine will be completely paid for. Is this a final confirmation that the price will be $4750? Or, is one of the benefits of this level that you are locking in the price?

#3824 10 years ago
Quoted from spfxted:

You got the email already??

Yup.

Quoted from spfxted:

Can somebody paste it here...or is it private?

I do not think it is private, so hopefully Kevin does not get upset, but here you go:

Good evening once again, Predator pre-owners. Many of you have expressed interest in ways to ease the financial load involved in acquiring a brand new pinball machine, or ways to schedule your deposits to perhaps acquire another machine in the interim while we are manufacturing your Predator, so we have devised a way to help make that happen. As we approach production, you could also imagine that this will help us keep costs down and manufacturing time as low as possible, as well, so we have added a few minor "incentives" to working towards your game early. Please keep in mind that all of these options are completely optional and voluntary, and any deposit made through this system will go directly and 100% towards your machine!

Level 1: By sending a $250 deposit, your machine will arrive with an autographed flyer for the game tucked neatly inside!

Level 2: With a deposit of $1000 or more, you will find a sexy, limited Skit-B Pinball t-shirt inside that will only ever be available to pre-owners who have chosen this option or higher. Of course, you will find the autographed flyer, as well!

Level 3: $2250 will cover half the projected value of the final machine. Along with the two other incentives above, your Predator will ship with a very limited edition poster to proudly adorn your game room wall!

Level 4: $4500. This will cover the entire projected value of the final machine. If you were to choose this option, not only will you find ALL of the above-mentioned goodies nestled safely inside your game, but when you stand the head up for the first time you will see the translite brightly adorned with the signatures of the designers. There will be no other translites ever signed in the same fashion, showing that you were truly one of the earliest and most dedicated adopters of the revival of pinball!

If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity, please point your web browsers to the address below and use the drop-down menu to select a level. If you have any questions, concerns or comments, as always, feel free to email me directly at [email protected]. Thank you all for being a part of this monumental undertaking!

Quoted from Betelgeuse:

Pretty sure those are still the prototype ramps, so not concerned about that.

+1 - if you look at the left side ramp you can see all the extra space after the hole. If you remember from their last video they said that the material expanded more then they were expecting. I am sure the final ramps will not be as bulky.

Quoted from Part_3:

That makes zero sense. Their original page was all about Predator, and the new one is the first time I've heard of Duck Hunt....it seemed like a gag.

The new website is for Skit-B and all of their projects. Not just Predator. As other have stated, I am sure more will be added on Predator after Expo.

Also, I hate to burst your bubble, but the Pinball community is very small. So, it isn't very big news that some guys are selling a pinball machine out of their basement. Duck Hunt struck cultural and nerd cords with the geek community. Here is a sampling of the articles written on Skit-B's Duck Hunt Pinball.

Their presentation is in three hours.

Quoted from MMuller:

The live feed is lame!

The live feed isn't anything official. It is a pinsider kind enough to give people far away the ability to get a glimpse at expo.
