Quoted from blondetall:

Is there going to be any kind of an update on the production order now that we've bumped down and moved around a little? I know it's still likely to change some, but just wondering how much closer I've gotten to the half-way point.

I would love this as well

I hope I did not move up too fast on the production line... I was in the last third, and I will need time to get the money!

What I would love is a writen summary of the rules !?

You managed to zero in on one of the few utterly unfunny tropes in those movies.

Thanks for noticing, Captain Hollywood!

If you couldn't tell already, it was a serious request to begin with. Besides, we all know the proper wizard mode would be finally seeing the schooner.

Got this for your party Ted

I'm dying for a new tidbit, something, with Metallica and WOZ pretty much eating up all the glory the past several weeks. Just a snippit of the black light art? New toy photo? Anything?

I have 202 with no attachment to it. I will gladly trade you.

I made the same offer for #222, a desirable number I guess, but it was my fathers unit number in Vietnam. The guy with 222 wouldnt let it loose. Dad was a sidegunner and their slogan was "Hit 'em 2 hard, 2 fast and 2 often" I thought that would have made a cool nameplate, oh well.

Ok, Now that I am "in". I feel I can add more than my share LOL.

I remember walking past the Predator demo machine at the EXPO in oct. I gave it a glancing look for a few moments, then walked on. They were having some issues etc. I overheard, it was working, now we are at the show and its not or something to that effect. I was like whatever, and moved on.

After the EXPO I started seeing some info and started checking things out. Sounded interesting and promising.

I read that the 250 run was long spoken for and that was all the license was good for. I took a chance and sent and email to see about getting on a waiting list a couple of months ago.

Well, as you know, I got the magic email welcoming aboard. Made my deposit to secure my place. etc.

I just want to say this to SkitB. I am in no hurry to get the machine. What I mean by that is that you guys get one chance to get it right. Cosmetically speaking once its done, its done. Code can always be upgraded, But the physical part of the machine will be however you produce it. No matter how good you get the code, the cosmetic appearance of the machine will be what draws everyone in and will make it an instant classic....or not.

Thanks and I hope everything goes smooth with finishing this project!

I guess this pin will be out in 2014?

If someone told you 5 years ago in 2014 there will be 5 or 6 manufacturers building NIBs you would advise him to see a docter.

Unbelievable, yet true. After jesus (only rumored, not yet confirmed) the best ressurection humand kind has seen. Fantastic pin ball times to come.

Unfortunately, the schedule just won't allow it. We have many parts out of the game to be sourced, and it's already going to be a feat to get them back and installed before May. On the upside of that, it might allow us to have a printed playfield for the next public showing.

Quoted from PinManV:

I'm dying for a new tidbit, something...anything?

Besides the show announcements, the only other business-end tidbit I really have is that, as some of you may have already heard, we have been working on something of a "payment plan" to not only help people get their games more easily, but to help drive down the costs of manufacturing and production.

Before this snowballs into some major bickering...

Is this "payment plan" optional? I mean this entire time it was supposed to be half when the build started, and the other half when it's complete and ready to ship. Has that changed?

How does it help people "get their games more easily"? Just for people that can't save their money on their own (no offense intended)?

No offense taken. I belong to that club...

#3740 9 years ago

I'd be ok with a payment plan as long as it is still refundable up to a point.

this is a grenade. You may want to explain this better.

Quoted from SkitBPinball:

I myself would have no problem with doing payments. It would make the purchase on a whole easier to manage (not that im incapable of saving money, its just easier to spread it out then take the hit all at once) and if it drives down costs and get them more cash flow then thats a good thing for everyone. I know that some won't be down for this, but I'm in for the long haul and it would take something pretty drastic for me to back out of this pin, so here is my +1 on payments.

#3744 9 years ago

I think the biggest concern would be if they were changing the terms from what's been stated in the past ($250 deposit, 1/2 on build, 1/2 on delivery).

If the payment plan is optional, and the above still stands, then that is probably a win win for those that would like to do it that way. Just needs to be explained, that's all.

#3745 9 years ago

I'm sure they're talking about it right now....

Ah, nuts.

#3747 9 years ago

They might be adding additional payments to lower each one. Example 3 or 4 payments of $1600 or $1250 each.

Thanks,
Mike

I'm intrigued by the payment plan, although I hope it's optional or very flexible. I've been ordering my purchase based on two large sums a few months off. It could conceivably be much easier to do more smaller payments but I'd need to find out fairly soon.

If this gets them the capital to stay on or under budget, or, more liquid in order to make art updates, or whatever, I'm all for it.

#3749 9 years ago

I think they should stick to the original plan. It has already been changed once ($250 deposit) which I completely understand and did.

Now payment plan? Didn't see any information on the Predator updates about this.

Wasn't the payment plan 1/2 at build and 1/2 when complete and ready to ship?
I have saved my $ and am ready to shell out the amount needed for the entire pin.

Kevin, is this payment plan optional or it has to be followed for all?

#3750 9 years ago
Quoted from flashburn:

Yes, optional. We know that a lot of people on-board really like the idea that we started with.

Quoted from flashburn:

How does it help people "get their games more easily"? Just for people that can't save their money on their own (no offense intended)?

In short, yes. I know I would be one of those guys if I were on board for a NIB.

Quoted from Prkchpsndwiches:

Yep, same as the holding deposit. If you needed to withdraw, everything would be refunded less any fees we'd incurred (credit card percentages, etc).

Quoted from frolic:

This is why we bring info like this here first

Quoted from frolic:

If the payment plan is optional, and the above still stands, then that is probably a win win for those that would like to do it that way.

That's what we were thinking.

Quoted from hAbO:

This is the tricky part. It would be nightmarish to just open the door to "whatever whenever," so a number would have to be placed on it.

Quoted from navajas:

I'm intrigued by the payment plan, although I hope it's optional or very flexible. I've been ordering my purchase based on two large sums a few months off.

We get a lot of emails from pre-owners wondering when their game is due because they have an opportunity to score another game in the interim and they want to make sure it's a viable choice, financially. Putting out $1250 or something a few times could be a lot easier to work around than $2500 twice, and would allow someone the chance to grab up a good game deal when they can without worrying about when Predator is going to land.

Quoted from navajas:

If this gets them the capital to stay on or under budget, or, more liquid in order to make art updates, or whatever, I'm all for it.

That's the idea, here. We are still on-budget as we stand (woo!), but now we're moving into the realm of manufacturing parts for the tables and it is unimaginably cheaper and easier to make these things happen if you can do all of any particular part at once.
